Oi, Maybach! My Baleno's stock! How about someone lend me some money to buy the Suzuki 1300cc twin turbo 350bhp crated engine on their GTi site? Then Neville will see how ugly the Baleno's rear really is!

rjk, How did I have the advantage? I didn't actually win anything, because he started behind me, and ended behind me. It was just basically a test of skills, and a HUGE adrenaline rush!

Hmmm... the OHC will still beat the Baleno, no mateer how much you puch it. Stockon stock, the Honda will win, quite simply beacuse its a Honda. It may not have too much low end torque, but who needs it after the 1st gear anyways?! That is where the Baleno might have a marginal advantage, but then the OHC will start catching up - quick. I'm gonna go clock mine on the 1/4 mile and give you my times...

A stock OHC with a good driver as you will surely make him show you his clean end.. saying Honda City 1.5 Exi zooooooooom

We shall see.. I still gotta get my car. Its been pretty much taken foor quite some time now... all I ever get is the palio. Tho I wouldn't mind stuff in that one too... Palio vs Santro? Sometime on the ring road...

till now even i used to say that the zen is an overrated car,but aftre my mnaglore drive ,all i can say that still its one of the best available cars at its price.
which other car will give u 17kpl with AC at speeds of 120-140 ,150 and do 1000kms in 14-15hours including about 2-2.5 hours of stops (not for the car ,but for the people inside,so tahts 1000kms in 12-12.5 hours) and at the same time be available under 4.5lacs.
the only other cars that can really match upto it are the OHC or the skoda TDI.
if only maruti could slightly stretch the zen to give more room in the rear ,like the Xing and also give the 1.3 or even the 1.6 as an a option then we will definitely have an unbeatable car.maybe like what the beetle did 50 years ago.

for me the Zen mpfi even in its present state is the best car and is in fact one of the most underrated cars.

i would like to add wagonR to that list... everytime i think it has slow pickup than santro, i am proved wrong by a zooming wagonR overtaking in 1 second my friend's skoda who is doing 80+ in 9oclock delhi city traffic...

dont u think its unfair comparing a tiny wagon-r with a bulky skoda in the 9 o'clock traffic ?

the skoda cant be pushed into gaps like the wagon-r. and besides IMO smaller cars are always faster in the city

yes you are right normally crazy.. but i think wagonr is extremely underrated. ie in comparison to Santro/Zen.
so heres my list:
Under-rated:
Baleno
Tata Indigo
WagonR
Open Astra 1.6

Over-rated:
Santro
Honda city
Fiat palio 1.2
