I was almost standing on the pedal.

Did the 2 of you stand on the pedal ? If not, i think you reached only half the speed.

I think your Esteem has two accelerator pedals( one for speeds below 100kmph & the other for above 100kmph speed) & to release the throttle u put your foot below the pedal and pull it up.

oh, its not at all dangerous @ 160kmph on santro.
infact, my car was very goin good. with whatever aerodynamics its got, i could feel a good road grip at that speed. well i m quit happy the way i felt at 160kmph on santro. but i bet you man i would never ever gonna go 160kmph on santro as i finally realise that its kinda too much for her you know.

Same with an Alto. Just try to slot the 5th gear @100kmph the car will struggle to go beyond 140. Where as remain in 4th gear and it goes 145...

Atleast EL did not ask you if you were stomping on the brake pedal
How come you did not think of that EL?

Also about using the SlipStream? Has anyone actually used this and gone above their earlier set high speed? I am really curious to know this. If so I wanna follow Tadu or Mcl and hit atleast 190 :-p

My suggestion buy a Petes tuning kit (30-35k) and take it to 200 +

IM turboindia for more details, he might give his the T-BHP 5-10% discount.

I think the hyundai boxes have a 50% discount now or thereabouts. I guess it should be something like 19K.

Had voted for 100-149. Have managed more since.
180 in 4th - Baleno
180 in 4th - Corolla. This was during a TD. Shut up the sales guy.
