| Its a sugarcane harvester from Case. Nowadays these are very much in demand due to short time available for harvesting and unreliable and costly labour. PS: Mods please note that I have used the pic from Internet and hope it doesnot infringe any copyrights. Last edited by amit_purohit20 : 4th April 2012 at 13:38. |

| Case is a fiat industrial subsidary. CNH(Case IH has more than 160 years of heritage and experience in the agricultural industry) Acquired Full Ownership of Indian Construction Equipment at 2011. | I don't think jeepster added an extra zero by accident. This thing is pretty rare. At 15L it wouldn't be this rare because there are enough farmers who can buy this at 15L. I would love to see (in person) how this one operates. Looks a fascinating equipment. |

yes, the price is correct but its for whole setup i.e. the harvester + some Sugar Cane Infielders. these machines are rare but number is increasing fast. reason, the lack of man power. today 60% sugarcane factory's in Maharashtra have either bought or booked them. even Gov. of India had issued a subsidy of 50% on these machines, which IMO has been removed now. ![]() rgds, Nikhil BTW the price is correct & its recovered within 2~3 years. ![]() Last edited by jeepster : 13th April 2012 at 13:20.

Why does one need an infielder rather than a regular tractor with conventional trailer? I don't see the advantage. ![]()

| I think it is has a side tilting mechanism with an inclined plate to assist the cut sugarcane to easily roll out when loaded on a truck. This unit must be driving onto a platform / mud bank and unloading sideways onto a truck. Most probably a lift and tilt system. Guessing. A conventional trailer is normally rear-ward dumping type which would not suit long sugarcane, which could get stuck at the bottom. |

the cane goes in infielder which goes to the waiting trailer or truck & dumps the cane. the number of infielders depends on harvester output. here are some pics from my farm. you can see that the infielder going towards the waiting trucks. you can see how the infielder works in this pic. rgds, Nikhil here is the link to my farm. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...ml#post2146012 (Calling all Team-BHP Farmers : The Farming Thread!)
