Fuel Cell Buses start operating in Norway and is a giant leap in controlling emissions. Take a look at the attachment

I usually desist from this but this is "blah". Pure "blah". And more "blah".

As of now it takes more energy to bottle hydrogen than can be extracted from it. Hydrogen burns clean. But all the energy used to bottle it is not exactly clean. Why have the green lobbyists stopped looking at the big picture? Not sure how this reduces emissions. It merely transfers them from city to wherever the power plant is located.

Eventually, all of it stays on this planet.

True but cities and places where the density of population and the population is higher would be safer.

So, it is okay for people with influence (read urban inhabitants) to screw those without influence? Why is urban health and well-being of higher value than rural health and well-being?

Well, we pollute while extracting oil and the extracted oil also pollutes.

These are steps towards whatever will enable us to find a way of making it better. You dont want to have a day when you have a viable way of extracting hydrogen and not be ready with something like Fuel Cell

There are direct methanol fuel cells too which don't require hydrogen generation. They are not that efficient but we will figure a way of doing it like all the other scientific developments.

Everybody pollutes mother earth in their own way. Every activity has its effects on earth and earthlings. There is no differentiation between cities or villages or caste, class or region here but human concentration and intensity of pollution. So find ways and means to reduce the pollution in whatever miniscule way is possible.

It will then stay on that planet

Man will not go back to the cave era.

So what to do?
Taking small steps helps to fight pollution.
Saving the Earth from pollution can't be achieved single-handedly but every one can make an important contribution. Adopting a green lifestyle is an important first step for example, use chemical-free household products, recycle, and reduce carbon footprint by switching to solar power. Giving practical or financial help to organizations that fight pollution, or helping to campaign for safe disposal of waste and toxins that threaten wildlife, are also effective ways to help save the Earth from pollution.
