Ashok Leyland Luxura: Dead or Alive?

I happened to pass through Hosur today, and had a surprising spotting on my way. A good looking Ashok Leyland Luxura bus (Fully built - in mint condition) parked outside Ashok Leyland Hosur Unit-I.

This brings a question: Is Ashok Leyland still selling the fully built Luxura variants? An Azad built bus, on Ashok Leyland 12M RE Chassis, was spotted earlier with Shama Sardar (NAS-Neelu).

Can somebody shed some light on whether this product (Luxura) is still available in the market?

Confusion is TVS already has the iT09 in its stable, guess this will be built on order for ASHOK LEYLAND

Nice catch!

However, I am not so impressed by the body work of the bus. The Irizar-TVS iT09 looked better to me, minus the wide grill area and smallish bumper:



Does the headlamp clusters contain at least one pair as projectors? The same colour for the HL cluster actually takes away the fresh look that the earlier design had.

I'd noticed it too. Perhaps, it's being given to some corporation for trials. Got to see which one it is.
