Any reasons for "Mahindra & Mahindra" showing no LCVs sold in Jan '16? Or, is it an accidental deletion?

The real reason is Mahindra's press release is not having this attachment on their website and I could not find this data point from any other source as well.

You must be new to this side of the forum.
I have already mentioned in my previous posts about unavailability of data from these biggies who don't share this data as they are negligible or want to keep their competition in the dark.

Threads like these just remind us that Tata Motors is the 'Maruti of Trucks & Buses' and Ashok Leyland is the 'Hyundai' (a strong no.2). We usually associate Tata Motors with cars only, but the fact is, Tata Motors in India is really all about commercial vehicles. It's turnover would surpass Maruti's by a mile. Lets not forget the impressive financial contribution of Jaguar-Land Rover too. The Tiagos & Hexas are chump change on Tata's balance sheets.

If anyone knows any good reads on Tata's impressive domination of the CV segment, please share. I don't follow the CV section much, but would love to read up on this.

Guys there is a very good website (at-least was last time I checked few months back) called the India Auto Report (www.indiaautoreport.com).
Breakup of sales by segment is tracked by these guys. Also they churn out good analysis from time to time.
Hope this helps

Excellent analysis & reporting by IndiaAutoReport; however, a big fail in terms of consistency & usability!

Link to their April Analysis (with sheets on CVs).

@GTO : I shall try giving some insights from Maruti and Hyundai of CV story.
Tata is no doubt have presence across entire spectrum of commercial vehicle segment. But they are not leader in many segment and are given tough fight from many.
In case of passenger segment Ashokleyland is leading with around 44% MS. In specific in heavy buses they are at 64%.
Eicher though seems to be ordinary in sales figures is actually leader in ICV segment under 10.5T.
SML Isuzu is very strong in ICV buses sharing it's MS with Eicher.
Mahindra though is No.2 overall, gets this position only because of SCV products - Bolero pickup, otherwise they are yet to take off in a big way. Tata was actually way ahead in terms of comparison some 5 years back but now MoM and YoY they are shrinking.
Similarly sub segment wise there will be changes. Tata which is a leader in 40T TT is way behind Ashokleyland in 49T TT.
In 16T tipper segment Ashokleyland gives tough fight but its not the case in multi axle segment. Tata is leading in ICV buses but is less than half of what Ashokleyland in heavy buses.
Then biggest in regional market share. Drastic changes in sales between locations, though there is no change in product.
So its small but big story and the tradition continues. If we follow them closely we can clearly understand each manufacturers positives and how they try to leverage it.

In the M&HCV passenger and goods carrier segments, Ashok Leyland has made remarkable gains, snatching market share from Tata Motors. The company succeeded in growing its M&HCV (passenger carrier) market share sizeably from 35.70% in 2014-15 to 44.63% in 2015.16. In the goods carrier segment too, its market share grew from from 27.20% in 2014-15 to 30.65% in 2015-16. - See more at: http://www.autocarpro.in/news-nation....l291BQoS.dpuf

I have prepared a chart (though unable to disclose the number have shared the market share alone).
