thats indian politics for you. first, they cry about lack of resources to buy life saving equipment in hospitals and bulletproof jackets for jawaans, and then crooks spend dirty money like this on other crooks and get away with the whole thing. i wonder why life ends and begins with elections for all parties. when does the service part happen? never. anyways that was highly offtopic but its a sorry state. its quite a pity, that criminals like sanjay dutt and salman khan walk like heroes on the streets, unfettered by the no. of cases they have against them in the court, and the same people are allowed to fight elections and govern us.
what has a cocaine snorter, gun hoarder, hardcore criminal done for the city?
zilch! nothing!
sorry but the 3 crores part really outraged me. the ugly face of the bus personifies and highlights the ugly nature of the work its going to be used to do. india shining! i see india sinking at the moment.
he may be a FANTASTIC actor and maybe a good social worker(if he does what they say in the papers) but corruption never had a more popular face than in Sanjay Dutt.

First & foremost. This is an automobile enthusiasts forum where politics is NOT permitted. I am surprised why there are so many adverse comments to Sunjay Dutt's candidature (not that I support SP)

We should not be talking about his convictions, bails & the rest. IMHO - We should concentrate on the Volvo & DC disaster.

I really do not wish to get into the merits & demerits of Sunjay Dutt's political ambitions (or are they Mannyata's) THAT gentlemen is the BIG question.

Let the guy be. He has seen enough in life.

Cheers

then the whole thread must be deleted, since it speaks more about 3 crores and the SP and hardly divulges any info about the bus itself

Chill Guys. If Vijay Mallaya can contest elections flying around in his private jet and yacht, why not Dutt? I think it his bus so let it be. So lets talk about the bus.

I'm from Lucknow & am apalled at his candidature - not because of him as a person - but more because of his qualifications (or lack thereof!).

I wonder if there was a study done on the citizens of Lucknow identifying them as most glamour struck..

The bus looks repulsive, surely this is the rape of the Volvo and DC needs to rethink its design. Better they should have done the interiors and left the exterior standard.

As for candidature without getting too much into the politics Sanjay Dutt is as good or as bad as anyone out there, its not that we have an outstanding political talent to compare and benchmark him against. The only thing we can say with certainty is they are all equally uninspiring, maybe Sanjay will be an improvement but going by the record of other film stars in politics perhaps not.

Fortunately, Sanjay Dutt can't contest.

Hope this case sets a precedents and other chargesheeted accused lose the right of contesting elections. Good move by the Supreme Court of India.
