These are the Kendra Sariges that were launched recently in an inner-city loop to encourage car owners to leave their cars behind when they come to the CBD. There's also a service called the Big10 getting rolled out in parallel to complement these as feeders.

For a very very long time, ST buses in Karnataka have had their regn numbers in English AND Kannada (right & left sides respectively).

Do the buses in Kerala have their regn numbers in one language only ?

Those BIGIO buses look kewl. But it was green in color & not like the one posted above.

Plenty of them running within the city, one behind another almost at 6pm in Kmgla friday evening. Are these buses specifically run for the IT Sector?? (I mean, soo many back on back? Like those Inf9 buses?)

Not bad, infact their construction feels so much better than other city buses. This one is a Volvo right?

Yes indeed Volvo. Construction is pretty good. Also a light blue one is there. The orange line runs clockwise and the blue line runs anti clockwise. It covers the central business district around MG road. Flat fare of Rs.10.

The other one is the BIG10 service which covers the 10 major roads of Bangalore. Those are non AC Ashok Leylands. Rates are Rs. 5, 10 and 15.

yes.when other neighbouring state's like tamilnadu and karnataka buses got this registeration number in local languages ,KSRTC(kerala) has not changed.

In Bangalore ,as far as I know ,local buses got route plates written in kannada only?
,local buses towards aluva(industrial area) ,perumbavoor towns from my town-Muvattupuzha ,got the route written in english, hindi and malayalam;same with some city bus service in cochin(kochi). most long distance buses elsewhere in the state(KSRTC) got route displayed in English as well.
It will be very useful in a city like bangalore where people from various other states are living.

Actually a lot of the newer buses - including all the Volvos and most Suvarnas - have routes and names in both Kannada and English. This is definitely followed where these are displayed electronically. In the recent past, the BMTC has only impressed with its proactive steps, and taken the first step towards resolving the chicken-and-egg problem of public transportation usage. Now its upto Bangaloreans to shake off the inertia and give it a shot. Each arterial road will be connected by the Big-10 service at regular intervals, and this links to the Kendra Sarige. There's no real need to your cars into the city centre for the most part of the day.

Kerala is only state in India where you'll find written English even in the remotest of the remote villages !

So haven't seen any Malayalam number plates yet...

The MV act mandates use of the Indi / arabic numerals for number plates. I wonder why the PIL busybodies do not sue the respective state governments for using local language numbers on the numberplates.
