But that is a re-registered old Shama bus. I was mentioning about brand new buses.

He said "5th Volvo tourist bus in Kerala", and not "5th KL reg Volvo".

There are lot more than 5 KL registered Volvos. Kallada has 2x B9Rs, 4x B7Rs, 3x Parveen (1x B7R and 2x B9R), SRM has atleast 6 KL registered B9Rs, and so on.

I think all above buses are on daily service but operators like Collin and Ganga are exclusively for ""Tourist" service.

Guys, please get the words right.

Collin and Ganga operates a Contract carriage operators. You hire a bus from them, same way you hire a taxi or rick.

The "daily" operators - the guys who run interstate / over night services - Shama, Kallada, Parveen, KPN, etc - their buses are (usually) covered by an all india tourist permit. Buses with all India tourist eprmit are easily distinguishable - they have predominantly white colour with a blue band at midele (between lower edge of the windows and bottom of the body.). This is a condition for grant of all india tourist carriage permit.

Operating on interstate / overnight services using contract carriae permits, though feasible and frequent, is horribly expensive - the tax impact would be very high.

Ya ,exactly. That was the first batch of volvos in shama. They operated in BLR-EKM sector. One was sold to Collin and other to SVR Tours.

Have any one got the pic of KPN B9R accident that took place near Harippad on 12 morning??

The pictures that I had attached was taken in Oct or Nov 2010 (for the yellow colored bus). But, even after that, I saw it in Feb 2011 but didn't bother to take a snap.

The ALL Luxuria test vehicle can be seen on Chennai Byepass & around Tambaram, Vandalur quite often in the evenings. I think it is parked in one of ALL service centers near Vandalur.

This is the bangalore chennai luxury bus operated by Blue Hills. This service is already discussed in the following thread.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/commer...ury-buses.html

The bus make is multi-axle Volvo and the body design by DC.

Wink Where to post this?

We have seen all those crazy stickerings on luxury buses - "air bus", "DTS", "JBL", "5.1 Dolby" etc. This one takes the cake.

Was confused whether to post this on the "sticking bill on wall" or "weired and wacky mods" threads. Finally decided to post this here.

The Indian Bus Scene (Discuss new launches and market info here)-waveller.jpg

The bus belongs to a TVM based operator, and is frequently posted opposite the YMCA, near secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram. It posts a recent "smiling volvo" logo (Prakash's new logo, it seems) and is a 5000 something series body.

I am wondering why / how Prakash got the spelling wrong.

Forget the spelling, Wevellers are so common these days, nobody even speaks about them and it is a standard fitment with most bus models from ALL and Tata

If Wevellers are common what about the Air suspension,Air Bus.
There are quite a couple of sites where buses are found with "Weveller suspension stickers".
This Weveller was initially used by AL in intercity application buses and later adopted by TM.
