Yes, with increased length the GVW should essentially cross 16T.

Oops! That was a typing mistake. My bad.

I meant to say "TATA buses operated by BMTC" are 1512s with FOH (except those bought under JnNURM).

Guess its clear now. Sorry for the confusion.

I have seen 1512c 43 seater Rajahamsas. Were they also on 10.7m platform?

Are you sure about this? I have seen only 36 seater Rajahamsas in 1512c. Any idea in which route you have seen this?

1512C based Rajahamsas were 36 seaters. Their 43/44 seater Rajahamsas were either on AL 12m or on Tata 1618.

@dhandapanik
If you cross check some of our picasaweb albums, i raised a query on this, not sure if it was for your album or Sujith's / Binai's. IIRC, I have seen 1512 badge and 43+1 SC writing.

What is the point that you are trying to prove by these images? The bus with the 43+1 seating is a Leyland 12M (notice the dashboard layout). KaSRTC started using TATA Chassis to build Rajahamsa buses initially only for the 35+1 seaters - these ones were initially built by KSRTC's own workshops. The Veera built ones came later.

Rajahamsas built on TATA chassis came only after the introduction of 1618 (I am not sure if there were any TATA based Rajahamsas in the P5000 age). It is not feasible to built 43+1 Rajahamsas on a Tata 1512 Chassis - the maximum length offered by TATA 1512 is only 10645mm (10.6M). These buses cannot fit 11 rows of push back seats, along with a driver partition and a berth for co-passenger.

So, if at all there is a bus with 43+1 configuration and 1512 Badge, it is more likely to be a mistake on the body builder's part (of affixing the 1512 Badge).

Recently KeSRTC had a couple of 1512 buses running around with 1612 badges - it was later found that those badges belonged to the 50 12M TATA 1612 Chassis that KeSRTC had bought.

Volvo Multi Axle: New Tyre Config.
Had seen 4 Volvo multi axle buses with new Tyre config. The Multi-Dummy axle is placed on rear side like MB. The buses where fully covered and where taken away in trailers. Dont know exactly where they are going, for export or domestic use.

Congratulations!

You are the first to spot the new B11R's.

They are likely to be launched in Auto expo 2012.

But I am not sure how the 15M buses are transported in trailers.

I couldn't get a pic of TM 12m. Binai, my point is that I have spotted these 43+1 SC VEERA/Prakash buses with 1512c badge much earlier. Do u remember the 3 head lamp models built by Prakash? Such buses were 1616 or 1612 i guess and not 1618.
Hence Rajahamsas built on TATA chassis were present since 2008 even before the introduction of 1618. I have seen such buses in Majestic.

KaSRTC has following type of Rajahamsa buses

12M - AL 177HP and TM 1618 (Prakash, Veera and RWB)
10.6M - TM 1612 (RWB)

NWKRTC has following type of Rajahamsa buses

12M - TM 1616 or 1618 (Veera) Ranjith might have seen this

NEKRTC has following type of Rajahamsa buses

12M - AL 177HP (Starline and Royal)
10.6M - TM 1612 (RWK)

There's an apparent mismatch between the chassis and body which looks much too wide compared to the chassis (as indicated by the track width). There is too much sideways overhang. Looks like they took the body they fit on 1613 model, chopped it off along the length and then simply mated it to a LCV chassis.

This new model / design is built on SFC407 chassis. That may be the reason you feel so. Moreover this is not any new design across Tata Marcopolo models. The existing design would continue for other like 709, 909 etc.

Meanwhile, spotted Tata Divo 285HP roaming around Cochin on demo. Also new VolvoB7R of Parveen Travels "For registration" in Cochin.
