Exactly.There was a death of an ALP a couple of years ago because of this.Actually the loco had run out of water and the LP got angry because the ALP had not checked the water level before departure(All these small tasks are the ALP's job).At the next station he ordered the ALP to get up to roof and open the water inlet hose to get the water filled and in the hurry the ALP touched the 25 KV traction and was charred to death

Some of the WDM-2 locos are nearly 40 years old!

Many of them are being re-built in Patiala Workshop and are rechristened as WDM-3A and alphabet "R" indicating that it is a "Rebuilt" loco is stencilled after the road number of the loco..

For example : WDM - 3A 14046R..
