Yes... I second Ram, this is the machine that is used to scrap the top layer of the road before relaying. They kinda cut into the road like grooves. The worst part is that the roads are scraped first and the relaying work starts only after 2 or 3 days, till then the road is like road to hell...

@ n.devdath: Just returned to Mumbai after gruelling one week in ports of Vadinar, Kandla & Mundra in Gujarat.
Was caught "RED HANDED" taking photos in protected area in Vadinar. My 3.2 MP camera was confiscated. But me very very happy.
Thank God, atleast now the company will buy me a better resolution Cam.
!!So I may have missed those Scops, Will take round of the port tomorrow & see what I can get.

@ ram.west & archish: Yeah that's why I mentioned somewhere that its TOO noisy.

Default Crane Imports on rise

Should I say I was busy like a bee or like an ant but I sure was working 24x7 & that even between ports of Mumbai, Kandla, Mundra, Sikka, Vadinar & Porbandar.
One thing I did notice during this period is sudden rise in imports of cranes at various ports. Big or small, new or old but the imports are in huge numbers. All big names like Kato, Demag, LLiebherr & many more are here.
Here is the first lot of photos:-

Default Milling Machine in Action

Spotted the milling machine in action.

1: The front
2: Rear of the machine
3: The dust/debris left after milling being loaded onto a truck using the conveyor belt fitted on the rear of the machine

The hydraulics on the rear wheels are used to adjust the depth to which the top surface of the road has to scraped.

It's very very noisy.

[Excuse the poor quality of the photos as they were taken late at night, while I was taking a stroll towards the beach]

Caught these machines at a major port yday. Some are mining equpiments & some I could not read much about because these were located very close to police booth. All are 'SPY" shots taken with *hidden* camera.

Spotted these TWO trucks standing out among the other MAN trucks. The pics were taken inside port today during my usual round. I had to squeeze between other parked trucks to take the shots.
Didn't get enough time to check on Make & Model.
It was built like tanker, with INFLAMMABLE written over the tank in huge letters.
