Default AZAD Bus

Spotted this brand new AZAD Bus today. IMHO it looks much better than PRAKASH. The design, though a copy of the VOLVO has been well executed and the panel gaps are manageable

Delivery is delayed as 10.00x20 Radial tyres are not in stock. they are offering 10.00x20 Nylon tyres but we insisted on Radials.

I think Azad has procured the FRP panels for front and back from the same vendor who supplies for VOLVO and hence the similarity. Azad then had to adjust the height on the side panels to accommodate the taller panels

You may likely to get a still higher spec from AL going upto 230HP - CRS Engine.

Got this Sutlej A/C bus near Thekkady. On my recent trip, I saw an unprecedented number of A/C buses. Guess, the demand is picking up!

Siddhaganga Travels have a good number of AC buses.
Their coaches are mostly with Sutlej only.

Raj, if the tyres are not in stock with AL, will they be available aftermarket for replacement?

You will need to replace the front tyres after the first retread, and the rear tyres after 2/3.

Are retread facilities available for bus radials?

If the bus comes with 9" tyres, the RC book would mention that & then when i fit aftermarket 10" tyres, i would have to go through the hassle of making the changes in RC book, etc.

thats the reason we are insisting on 10" radials as factory fitted.

You mean the retreading question? Sorry, no idea as we have not retreaded any of our bus's tyres till now & our older buses have nylon tyres. also, i am a bit skeptical about retreading, so mostly we will be buying new tyres instead of retreading, when the time comes.
