Nice pics, Raj.

BTW, have this question in mind. How do you plan to control pests like bed bugs? They are becoming a menace in AC buses especially.

Regular interior cleaning with vacuuming should do, I guess.

Excellent choice of colour-theme-design!!

Wishing you the very best.

The ventilation door above the front grill is an eyesore. Every bus has tht in the open position. Why don't they just design a proper ventilated grill instead?

I have seen most buses opting for taller grills, either mesh covered or with horizontal slats to avoid an extra ventilation door.

@raj

Do you really need fans, in a AC coach, especially one with non-fixed window panes??

The seats look great by the way. Though somehow the paint scheme does not have a special attraction. Its a very laid back simple kind of design. It doesn't look bad, but cant really say its eye catching. Though if you were going in for a subtle kind of look, then its a great choice.

Wont people mind the hanging bass tube at the top of the aisle. It would make it difficult for people walking there wouldn't it. There should be a better placement for it. And I would much rather prefer to keep it out of sight.

Are you going to be running this as an overnight service or not?

To be very honest, I really loved the livery of your new bus. I, for one, love simple designs than the flashy ones. This one is really good - nice choice.

Is there any changes in the rear-profile of the AC bus, compared to your non-AC buses? Can you post some pics of the rear of your AC bus, with a non-AC one?

Which make of AC did you finally go for? Thermoking?

And, also post some pics of the ac vents - do passengers get individual vents? And, a pic of the cabin, and the partition...

And, the next time, please keep the "bonnets" closed...

Hi Raj - Firstly congratulations on your new acquisition. honestly i too really appreciate this color when compared to the livery present in your existing fleet.
Awaiting to see the ac vents, the aircon unit from the top and the whole bus from the side.
Also guess you haven't added a slave engine for power.

I know. Its really amazing how come Prakash has not managed to develop a decent grille all this while.

Our bus will run on both - AC as well as non-AC trips. Non-AC buses in kerela have fans for the passengers not sitting besides the windows.

These are not the normal HARITA seats seen in every bus in Kerela.

Yes, we purposely opted for a simpler colour scheme this time.

It is not hanging in between. infact it is above the last row of seats. In kerela, some customers actually need to see the basstube. they get the "kick" from that!

Nopes, only contract carriages.

Yes, the rear is Volvo style. there is no rear glass panel. it is painted in body colour. Wish i had a pic of that.

(these pics were mailed to me on special request! they dint click the rear profile i guess! )

You are right, the AC is running of the main engine. the AL brochure clearly mentions that the engine is capable of running the AC.

@ Raj, Congrats and Good luck.
The gray one looks the best. Though the seats look great, the material looks slippery. Will it 'hold' the passenger when fully reclined?
Can the center arm rest be fully reclined as the seats or is it fixed?
How about providing seat belt to the middle seat in the last row which will save the passenger from being thrown down to the passage in case of hard breaking.

One small suggestion : I know it costs..but if you add alloy wheel sets in this design, it sure will rock!!

Classy looks, Raj. Just love it. Though the interior seems at times to be dull. I have to say though, those Vectra seats do look inviting.

Hope this bus succeeds! Good Luck.
