TATA numbers are inclusive of LCVs. TATA is the market leader in LCVs, and their numbers should, obviously, be higher than everyone else.

I second the thoughts of Binaiks. TATA's numbers would include the LCVs. In the Trucks division, TATA, Ashok Leyland and Eicher are the major players.

Its good that we now have insight to the sales of the commercials vehicles segment as well.

Tata Motors is way ahead in truck sales when compared to its nearest competitior. But looks like Eicher is catching up with AL, It looks like Eicher will overtake AL in the near future.

This does not include.Including LCV's the number will be still higher.

But does this include the Bus sales as well? I think not as it mentions Volvo Trucks. Also, what does Force manufacture. Dont they have a tie-up with MAN, but it has been reported separately

I don't think this include LCV figures. With LCV, Tata numbers will be much higher.

The Tata Motors numbers are only for heavy and medium commercial vehicles, including the heavy range buses, that is the 15 and 16 tonne GVW buses. TML's LCV numbers are generally around the 20000 mark by themselves. Though I dont understand, if these are only for M&HCVs, then how come M&M, Swaraj Mazda and Force Motors feature on this list as they dont have any products in the M&HCV market.

Those are of Force Motors LCV which is Traveller Strong. They do want to ramp up upto 200 nos per month, but it will take time.

What is the source of this info.
The figures of AL does not tally with the official figures.
The Domestic sales of Oct is 4628 and Export is 1104. Total sales is 5732.

Both M&M and Force Motors make HCVs, the latter producing MAN trucks under license while the former produces the Mahindra-Navistar range in a brand new US$ 1 billion plant set up at Chakan. Any vehicle with GVW exceeding 7.5 tonnes qualifies as a MCV and hence that's why Swaraj Mazda features in the list.
