| Senior - BHPian | found out that the sealed enclosure volume is 1.5cu ft.and the ported enclosure volume is 1.65cu.ft.what kind of box should i get made.a simple box or with the rear wall slanted .also please tell me which box suits this sub,a ported box or a sealed box.like i mentioned i prefer tight, crisp punchy bass.the amp powering the sub is a jbl cs60.4.please give me the dimensions of the box.

A box with the rear wall slanted would be nice, as it can fit snugly against the seat back, and would give the maximum space saving. And the more slanted walls there are in the box, the lesser the standing waves. 3/4 inch MDF should be best.

.as i have bought components for the front, the 6x9 are running off the hu and the comps aand sub are powered by a desi alpine amp.i want to move the 6x9's on a stock tray for the zen and have a small box for the subwoofer so that i have some space in the back.also i want to place the amp in the boot rather than have it lying under the passenger seat. planning to buy a jbl cs 60.4.will it be able to power the 305c and the alpine spx177a components.not interested in listening to music really loud but want good clarity and tight punch from the woofer.is the amp okay for such application.pls advise.and what cables should i use for the rca and power connections. the specs of the comps are: Elements 2-Way Car Speaker Function Subwoofer • Tweeter Size 6.5" Nominal Power Handling 60 Watt RMS Technical Features Peak Power Handling 240 Watt Frequency Response 35 Hz - 35 kHz Sensitivity 90 dB Impedance 4 ohm (Dual Coil)the jbl cs60.4 specs are: RMS Power @ 4ohms: 4x60W RMS Power @ 2ohms: 4x80W RMS Power Bridged @ 4ohms: 2x160W Frequency Response: 10Hz – 27kHz S/N ratio: 75dBA Variable Bass Boost (2x): 0..+6dB @ 45Hz Crossover (2x): Flat/LP/HP (30-320Hz) Input Sensitivity: 100mV – 6V One pair full-range preamp outputs the subs specs are: Nominal Power Handling 400 Watt RMS Powered Non-Powered Technical Features Peak Power Handling 800 Watt Frequency Response 18 Hz - 2 kHz Sensitivity 89 dB Impedance 4 ohm (Dual Coil)

| Senior - BHPian | the 60.4 is good for the speakers but it will fail when it comes to subs.....as 150 is a little less power.....I would recommend to go for 75.4 or the new limited edition amp as it will cost approx 11k less......
