well thanks for jump starting my brain, Navin, I think, though, many things I have already procured for the carputer may stay idle or useless for the time being ( as well as the money spend) , what you suggested is good since my priority is space and A laptop is pretty much easier to hide, the powerinvertor will have to handle a lesser load and no addl cooling required for the smps or cpu. Ok, I am going back to the drawing board. Thanks again for the jolt of volt. I needed that. hehehehe

I don't want to sound critical or anything, but how can you live with 4 TS20s upfront, that too amplified !
Back when I was a newbie and knew nothing about music systems, I had one pair for the front staging and used to get headaches after listening to them for even 30 minutes. I gave my TS20s to my sis, installed them in her car after putting a resistance in series to dull them. You seem to have a good system, why not go for a pair of nice components like Hertz, Illusion etc.
Pls don't mind my suggestion.
Happy listening

12" LCD on roof.

The Juice for these spks come from Pio 5500 (yes, very very old timer) Pio 944, Sony 90X4 RMS (this too is pretty old forgot the number) and a Sony 444 (for the door spks)
The Sony 90X4 drives my BOSE & TS S20s. 5500 drives the bass reflex woofers, and the 944 drives the 3rd order bandpass subs. Mostly I listen with one of my eq turned off coz otherwise my mids are very low.

I sure hope to fix the carputer before this year is over. And I have got to figure out a place to keep the CPU!!
do you have any pics of your install?

I hope not. His post was more about a Car PC install than Car Audio.
