Hey Guys if it can be done I would be really happy to go for it too....

Now I wanted to ask what should I buy to connect a USB stick or an Ipod shuffle...

Can something Like in the new scorpio be done??
I have a pioneer P1y and now I am fed up of burning cds when I can have the songs on a pendrive...
What should I buy,I mean what cable??
I want something like "plug-n-play"..
Actually I too had thought about this hard disk thing when I had bought one but gave up the plan because It had two ports..

Agree about the control part navin, but if your HU has good controls for reading of a device recognized as a standard HDD(eg Pendrive, external HDD etc.,) you dont really need the iopd. I am planning to use a similar solution. But since my pioneer does not have any USB port, I will use a car FM transmitter to convert my creative's audio signal into FM stereo and just tune in my car radio to that frequency. It has some evil uses too. If your transmitter is powerful, you can make the frequency to be 91FM or similar and voila, the guy listens to a mix of hindi and hard rock

* u cannot connect the usb stick to the p1y
* u cannot connect the hdd to the p1y
* u can connect the shuffle but with aux in cable to the p1y but the
* controling will be from shuffle not the hu

i have the same USB enclosure as you do,,,
so this weekend when i was out looking for a system i took my 2.5 USB HDD with me but the benifit is negated by the poor sound Quality/clarity

poor sound quality can probably be attributed to the HU...but then maybe i'm wrong cause JVC makes pretty decent HUs...its just a matter of time before anyone else tries this on a sony HU maybe...

the sony that you are talking about has the stereo like round input and you CANNOT connect your pen drive / USB drive to it you can however connect anything which is playing music(ipod etc etc) to this input and it will play on your car speakers
