I am just back from my installer and he has taken the amp back and asked me to come back after 5 days for replacement :(. My sub hasn't moved ever since it went inside.

Not a problem dude. Amps can go wrong easily. Since it's under B&W they are also easy to replace.

the 75.4 is a good choice.

Amey, at the end of the day, its electronic equipment. Anything can go wrong anytime. In MF's case, its pure bad luck.
Moreover, I think the JBL 75.4 is assembled in China, with some US components (like mosfets) and some Chinese components (like connectors). Sam can confirm this. So the "chinese" part does create quality issues in the mind of the customer. But everything said and done, the 75.4 is one madass amplifier!

It was a recomendation not a demand. You are still free to buy any other amp. However outside Blau and JBL I dont know of a major ICE company (read as Pio and Sony) that have better A.S.S.

I had a JBL amp that developed a fault. I asked JBL to repair it but NO they insisted on giving me a new one. I would have been quite happy with the repair as i knew the fault was minor but they still issued me a new one.

just like my ipod and my thinkpad. the list of things not made in China is shorter than the list of things made in China.

hi shrivz,

sourcing components from china or manufacturing the equipment there is not a bad thing. most of the good companies like navinji mentioned have strict quality control and the product are manufactured to exacting specs. i dont mind buying a made in China product at all as long as it is from a reputed company.

this topic has been discussed elsewhere. ill post the kinky if i can find it.

cheers (aazadi mubarak lol)
