Whatever you do, avoid professional couriers guys. I have read horror stories about them on TE.

Thumbs up Subwoofer Enclosure- USE BaassFX Atom B 120

I would suggest you to cut short all your problems, not to waste your time and money on making a subwoofer enclosure on your own or through someone else. Just visit the site of the Indian manufacturers for all the audio accesories as they are popular and deliver.

BassFX

Use the Baassfx Atom B 120 which acomadates 12" subs beautifully and performs really well. Cost MRP 1,484/- now thats not bad for a sealed 12" sub enclosure is it.

Cheers,
Akashh

i really don't know whether I should post this query in DIY section but that is what I figured out.

I'd be buying a sub soon and I need suggestion regarding its making. I think suggestion on these areas would also help other fellow TBhpians when they get these sub boxes made up (specially people from relatively smaller cities)

Its obvious that I am not making the box myself, I'd just arrange the following things and take care about it when my local ICE dealer would set out making the box because I am damn sure that he'd give me just a "dabba" for my sub not a even an average sub box (but acc. to him it would be one the best boxes he'd ever made). Following are a few things i could figure out and I need suggestions on it (Please include any other if I have missed out on any which i am sure I have already done):

1. the type of wood or board used (brand or any specific type or special wood required, etc that can be readily bought) i can get any type of wood but don't know whether it'll be easy procuring special boards made just for ICE and subs. and also the thickness of the wood or board.

2. what should be the inner covering and the outer covering made up of (if inner and outer covering are actually required), please mention the material type or brand whatever be the case.

3. any special attention apart from the exact dimensions as mentioned in the Sub manual.

4. any other area to take care of? (like any special adhesive to be used or any other thing, can't think of anything more)

regards
gaurav

Probably for the one-size-fits-all-12"-drivers box
I found that very odd. One size box for ALL 12" sub-drivers.

Hahaha...I too found it REAL funny.
They seem to have taken out a leaf from the Indian biking con artist book. One exhaust design to suit different engines!

I was joking! the XO exists (if you can call one that) but if the patent does I'll be damned.

HEY! I saw it first!

I'm gonna patent this: What you see below are the first ever pics of the Hydramatic YelloTop Passive XO.

Benefits (exactly as will be printed on package):
- Can be used with your existing Crossovar.
- Zero loss of signal from one end to other. Gaaarenteed.
- 100% end-to-end flatt responz.
- Can be daisy-chained. You can string as meny off these babies one after the othar as you want.
- Inside wires are insulated to prevent moischar. Not there in other crossovers.
- Acoustikkaly matched perfektly with SONY XPLODE speakers (This works with co-axials also).
- User-swappable Caps: Caps can be swapped to match your car's decor (Ex-Press-on caps no part of package; must be purchazed separately).
- User-swappable Body: Body can be swapped to match your car's decor (Ex-Press-on covers not part to package; must be purchazed separately).
- Cheep. Only 300/-. Very value for money.

(Sorry Navin, couldn't resist. I know I'm dangerously OT).

Ah.ha! So hydrashock stands exposed! I gather his name is Anup. Has it always been or is this a recent acquisition?
Either way, he has presented such a delightful innovation!
