|  What happens when you disconnect the tweeter? Both the mid and tweeter go silent? Tangential thinking: what happens if you short out the tweeter?

| Senior - BHPian  | found another mid which would fit in. Also found that the entire under dash is covered with some thick rubber/foam (damping?) sheet. Speaker fit when it was removed. This is an 'Osaka' mid i got hold of for <200 a piece. Seems to be working fine. Vastly improved prescence, slightly honky when pushed to the limit, but totally worth it. The crossover is 2x470uF connected in series   sorry for the lousy pix. My digicam seems to be acting up
