| What happens when you disconnect the tweeter? Both the mid and tweeter go silent? Tangential thinking: what happens if you short out the tweeter?

| Senior - BHPian | found another mid which would fit in. Also found that the entire under dash is covered with some thick rubber/foam (damping?) sheet. Speaker fit when it was removed. This is an 'Osaka' mid i got hold of for <200 a piece. Seems to be working fine. Vastly improved prescence, slightly honky when pushed to the limit, but totally worth it. The crossover is 2x470uF connected in series ![]() ![]() sorry for the lousy pix. My digicam seems to be acting up
