haha..CCTB revisited ??? good one navin..looks like viveks trend seems to have caught in at bangalore...recently saw a shop where the sony 6937's were kept in thermocal enclosures as a demo to those wanting to buy systems from him..sounded good though, i must add it was tucked away some 20 feet above the ground on top of a shelf..btw vivek do u happen to know i-zone in any case..

talking of which where the hell is this guy..why isnt he patenting his find ...

MOMA will sell anything plastic and tacky at exhorbitant prices. I have rarely found anything in MOMA worth carrying back to India.

OHHH!!!!!

I thought it was cryogenic component test bed.... !!! coz i think mclaren mentioned something about thermal enclosures!! (and just the other day i was wondering how different speakers sound at different temperatures....!?

Speakers may work better at cooler tempretures as the voice coil runs cooler. like anything if it gets too cold the rubber surrond will get stiff and freeze.

i would suggest a operating temp of 0 deg C - 40 deg C. In any case it is a lot better than most humans can comforably withstand for long.

So my 6x9s in the cardboard boxes was nothing to laugh about. It is being done by several people and seems to be a good technique to test speakers.
