Default Locally available HT speaker wires

I need to buy speaker wires for my 7.1 Home Theatre system. Formerly I was using ACOUSTIC RESEARCH 14 gauge speaker wires which I didn't remove while moving.

I am not familiar with speaker wires that are available locally in Bangalore. Can I have some suggestions please?

I couldn't find any past threads discussing this.

Belden makes some beautiful wire. PM Sam Kapasi and he can help you in Bangy.

Another cheap option is 100/40 or 100/38 instrument grade OFC wire. THis wire is used for leads of DSOs and multimeters etc... 100/40 is thinnerbut more flexible than 100.38 (100 strands 38 gauge).

If coruse if you must have wire that can hide under wall to wall carpeting Nordost sells some very expensive flat wire. :-)

200ft = 60m. Not to bad. Belden runs about Rs. 200 per m.
