Do a hard reset. You might have done a soft reset. If it's not fixed, then it's an hardware issue.

Remember to have a backup before hard reset.

try this:

To do a hard reset tap START = SETTINGS = SYSTEM = CLEAR STORAGE

then follow the onscreen instructions

If your phone becomes unstable and will not start up past the bootscreen and you are not able to do the above step, you can do this

PRESS AND HOLD BOTH THE COM MANAGER AND VOICE DIAL BUTTONS AND PRESS THE RESET BUTTON WITH THE STYLUS

then follow the onscreen instructions

1. Do a FULL backup to either your SD Card or to your PC.

2. Do soft reset while holding the power button down.

Warning: You will lose all your data and will have to reconfigure your device entirely if you dont do a backup.

I doubt if a hard reset would do the trick as it sounds like a hardware issue. However, it doesnt cost anything so why not give it a shot?

Sounds like a Hardware problem but might also be a software error just HOLD the soft reset key ( the one you put the stylus in) and the power button and hold them both for 10 Secs after which ure o2 will change to the default sealed straight ( however beware all dad on the mini not the storage card is lost ) and captainsokhi what u r talking about is for the latest O2s which support windows 5.0 ( like mine and atom).

khanak, you can register all phones in O2 site, even the one purchased in greymarkets. login to www.seeo2.com , register and get it downloaded. You will just need the IMEI number.

For all your ROM requirements, go to the xda-developers FTP site . You need to know the HTC model name for your device, and since you have an O2 mini, that would be 'Magician'.

ROM dumps for the Magician (from VARIOUS brands - O2, iMate, Qtek, T-Mobile MDA, etc) are available HERE

You'll find an assortment of ROMs here. Take your choice. If you're unsure about what you're about to do, search www.xda-developers.com for help - there's plenty there.

The Atom is not an HTC device. It was made by Quanta. You will find Atom dumps as 'Atom' under the FTP listing.
