can somebody let me know where i can get my dell notebook fixed in delhi, dont say "nehru place"

but if u have somebody reliable, worth giving a try!

Try the Dell Technical support if you system is under warranty.

very sorry to say, but you are trapped then!
now they will ask you to pay heavy amount first and then, they will ask you to buy up their AMC plans, which costs abt 8K for 3 years.

better thing is to get it repaired in Nehru Place itself at some reputed shop which is not infamous for replacing the original parts with refurbished ones.

DELL IS HELL.....i have two notebooks, inspiron 5160 and inspiron 8000....BOTH SUCK. WORST IN THE WORLD. but anyways, since u have fallen prey to it, i have an "invaluable suggestion". ALWAYS take the extended warranty, no matter whatever it might cost u.

Dell laptops might suck but their warranty and replacement rocks!
I bought a inspiron 5100 3 years back....laptop started overheating a few times.....since i had a 4 yrs at home warranty they came and repaired it each time the very next day....however i got fed up with the repair and demanded a replacement....and to my luck i got a higher spec 5150 in return! Now just last week the 5150 after almost 2 yrs of hassel free work started over heating(this is common problem in the 5100 series....soo i demanded a replacement too and made sure that they gave me the latest inspiron and not an outdated 5100 series model......and to my luck i have got my self an Inspiron E1505 which just released 2-3 months back....2.0ghz centrino duo core 1gb ram etc 15.4 inch widscreen et all....all of which are wayyyy better than my orignal 5100 laptop

bade LUCKY ho bhai sahab, I also had a home-warranty, but surprisingly these idiots NEVER turned upto my place, all they said was the warranty meant that theres somebody to pick ur system up from ur home (aka DHL) and thats what u call "HOME - warranty". Jai ho bangalore mein baithe hue idiots ki!! (aka call center gyz). they gave u a new system....HAHAHA....what a joke! i can expect everything EXCEPT THIS from DELL. to be on a honest side, i've personally gone to DELL HO @ TX (2 weeks back) and SHOUTED to their VP-CS, even then nothing happened. I wanted to meet their CEO, but the security guys told me to calm down, as they were about to call 911.

IT IS A COMPANY THAT WD NEVER EVER ENTERTAIN YOU. ANYWAYS, ALL THE BEST....I DONT WANT TO TAKE THIS FURTHER....STICK TO THE TOPIC AND ENJOY YOUR STAY!

and one more thing, I've never had a prob with over-heating!

Yes kill joy you should definitely sign up for the extended warranty comes in handy later on.

@Panky - Already told you what to do about the repair come down here and we'll have it done.

ok, another layman question. since i have already ordered it and it is shipped, do you think i can still sign up for extended warranty? and are there any parts that are not covered under extended warranty?

yes, u can still sign up....rather anytime till ur warranty is valid (1 yr i guess!!) everything wd be included, including shipping....so take it easy!
