Default Opinions on CRT HDTV

hi guys,
What is your opinion on CRT HDTVs?
I suppose in India, the only two CRT TV with 100hz are
Philips 29PT8836/94 (not sure if discontinued)
Sony KV-DZ29M80 (specs are not clear if this is 100hz)
Samsung CS29Z40 (100hz + comb filter)

I watch tv and/or gaming about an hour a day or so and I am worried that the poor response time of lcd's will cause ghosting in normal dishtv, etc. BTW, I also have a PS3

thanks in advance

This is available off the shelf here . Please contact the MAIN distributor in your respective towns/cities. In case its not in stock they can specifically place an order and source this for you. Please approach the PHILIPS ARENA showrooms and not the other retailers.

wow... someone other than me have been going the CRT route!!

Guys, have any of you demoed *any* CRT HDTV? I have seen a PS3 connected to a LCD ... and it looks wonderful. Currently, I have a 29 in BPL crt at home and the PS3 doesnt look too good.

What are your opinions on a CRT HDTV vs a normal CRT vs LCD

thanks

Just an update... Panasonic 42PV7 is 60k at croma. An additional 1500 off if you buy using an HSBC card. For 58.5k, its a killer deal.

the thing about buying these crt tv's is that sooner or later the models will be discontinued by te company and the parts will not be available. i have a 32 inch slimfit samsung tv with 100 hz frequency. it got busted (thankfully in warranty). the company couldnt provide for its parts and is replacing it with a lcd tv . what would have happened if it had busted after warranty would the company had replaced it .i seriously doubt it . dont buy an outgoing technology even though it may be better and cheaper than the current lcd's
