I am looking out for a DSLR, and found Canon EOS1200D with two lenses on Snapdeal for 23k. I am confused between this and Nikon D3300. Anybody got some pointers?

Irrespective of what I thought, it does not look too bad. Some good deals on Mi4 & Mi4i and Tablets. You have a 3k drop on the price.

Looking to buy a phone for my parents so checked. I had hoped they have the Moto G 3rd Gen, but they dont.

^ I am also looking for a phone for my dad.

Will choose between MotoG 3rd Gen and Lenovo K3 Note. I guess both will be available on flipkart tomorrow.

I got an email advertising the iPhone 5s 16GB for 24,999, but on their site it shows 28,999. Clicking on the hot link in the email only goes to a general sale page where this phone is not listed.

With Amazon and Snapdeal competing with FK's Big Billion Sale. I think if one spends some time over the next 2-3 days across these 3 sites, some deals even better than what is being advertised today can be had.

Overall looks like there are some very competitive deals across these sites.

Eddy,
Got the K3 Note for my wife last week.
Believe me, this is one hot selling model.

Also, the specs are really good for the price point.
Just waiting for the micro sim change and change of billing plans to get it started for her.

I bought 1200D (with dual lens kit) last year from Amazon at the same price (plus some cash back - effective price was ~ 19,000). Its a once in a year deal, not to be missed. I absolutely love my 1200D. Don't know much about D3300 but for starters, 1200D is the best camera out there in terms of amateur photography.

I would personally recommend Moto G3.

My BIL bought a K3 Note 2 months back, which was blazing fast when he showed me new.
Saw it yesterday again, and it is a bit laggy, with auto rotate, launching dial pad, and opening FB and Whatsapp taking a few seconds.
Might be due to the number of apps open, or more RAM usage, but somehow didn't like the performance.
The form factor (build / design) looks good though.

I am using Moto G3 since 1 month and it is still blazing fast, with 1.5GB of RAM available at any given time. The max lowest available RAM I encountered was around 1088 MB (1GB). Which is why it is still fast.

Covers and Cases prices are crazy all over the e-commerce websites. A quick walk to the nearby local shops gave me a cover for Rs.150, which was retailing for Rs.399 on all ecommerce websites.

I was looking for internal hard drives on Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal last week.

The prices all seemed a little high and most of them would charge me for delivery as well. I am averse to paying shipping charges for most online orders.

So I turned to eBay as my last resort. I immediately found the prices cheaper and there was a 8.5% discount coupon as well as 5% cashback if paying through PayUMoney. So in essence, an order that should've cost me Rs. 2,925 for the 500GB 2.5" Internal Hard Drive and Rs. 949 for the Dell Inspiron N4110 keyboard, ie. Rs. 3,874 in total cost me around Rs. 3350 inclusive of the cashback!

Order was placed on Friday(October 9th). The bitter pill(or so I thought) was the slow delivery. It would be delivered on the 17th of October.

But, the items were shipped on Saturday through FedEx and are out for delivery today(correction, has been delivered)!

Very, very positive experience I have had with eBay!

Till Diwali we will have continuous offers in the name of Diwali and on top of that there will be some after diwali/after festive sales too across all sites. Old wine in new bottles.

Flipkart said 13-17 Oct is the billion day sale. Amazon saw this and came up with a Great Indian Festive Sale. Snapdeal did not want to be left behind. No time to decide on a fancy name. So decided to simply go with first upcoming pan India festival they could think off.

Flipkart has mobiles & accessories sale only from 15-17 Oct, not from tomorrow (13 Oct). Its fashion that has discounts from tomorrow.

Between, loved the discount on Mi4i on Snapdeal. Had no idea of buying, but it shook me a bit. Looking forward to the offers on Amazon & FK in the coming days.

Amazon has an additional 15% cash back on HDFC cards on app while Citi has a 10% cash back on FK on 15 Oct.

Couldn't somebody have thought of the Great Navaratri Sale?

Anyway... whatever they call it, it's another sale. Business as usual, prices as usual. Except for stuff they really, really want to get rid of.
