Ok got a quote for the PCX 450. My dealer has offered it to me at 24K. Now it is my call.

For TV i would recommend RF headphones RS110, 120 130 or 140.

For the car the PXC series 100 150, 250, 300, 350, 450, is perfect as it can be folded and tucked in to the arm rest.

For your ipod those in ear phone from ultimate etc are quite good but I have used the HD 555, PXC 100, and PXC 250 direct with good results too. The PXC has noise cancelation as well.

So if you are on a budget get the RS 110 for the TV and the PCX 250 for the car.

Have used various cordless headphones, i would pick the Pioneer DIR800C, not so much for the surround capability but it allows an optical input, DTS decoding and sounds great.

cheers.

Default Wireless headphones

I want to buy two wireless headphones to connect to the TV. These are for home use. The reason is that there are always 2 people watching TV at any given time and the noise is really getting on my nerves.

Checked through the Times Shopping. They have one that costs around Rs.450. They claim it is VHF technology. They say it is better than the radio frequency (read FM) that most others use. Do you agree?

Now, my question is: how do I connect two headphones simultaneously? I know each comes with its own connector or adapter and how do I connect both headphones to the same sound source? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you can find a splitter in the market. Or fabricate your own. But trust me, a cheap wireless headphone isn't worth it. I've got an Enter 0.5k headphone, and the sound quality is just ok through wireless channels, and there's a constant 'zrrrrr' in the background that's just hidden if you're listening to something.

@Lejhoom, if you pick up stuff like the Sennheiser's, you can tune two headphones to the same base sation.

I would be wary about quality of anything bought from indiatimes!! Suggest you buy one and check it out before buying the second one!

i had bought Frontech for some 600 rupees from S.P road Bangalore 2 years back. Its crap. Please stay away from same. Its got only mono option so sound quality isn't great. And it has stopped working totally now!

Any other better ones with better audio quality?

Thank you guys, especially ghpk.

My rant is not yet complete. I want to know about:

1) the difference between VHF and FM for wireless headphones

2) the way the seller doesn't disclose if the headphone is mono or stereo

3) which brand other than Sennheiser that is affordable, i.e. around Rs 750 or so?

Thanks for your time.
