Can anyone suggest a mobile which has the following features:
1. 1000 phone book memory
2. FM radio
3. Scheduler
4. IR or bluetooth compatible
5. Basic camera.
Max budget is 6,000/-.

I think there is a samsung phone, which meets my requirements. But forgot the model name.
I currently own SE T610. I am happy with SE, is there any model from SE.
What about Moto L6.
What other models can i look at?

You could get it for slightly lesser than 7K. It's a good phone.

I would say try extending your budget and getting this. It's around Rs.6800 if you do some bargaining even lesser. You have everything for just 800 bucks more than your budget.

I've just asked my friend abt it's costs they said it cost's 6400-6500 ,Nice phone .

first extended my budget from 5k to 6k(i didnt mention that earlier) and now upto slightly less than 7k......

thats a very interesting phone, is there any other phone which can compete with this one at that price.
(nokia was never in my radar, but with those features...... , just wanna make sure, i didnt miss any other phone)

Raj, My advise to you, stick with a nokia rather than SE. SE phones tend to throw up keypad or joystick problems very soon. They will surely be cheaper than nokia stuff but nokia phones are much more easier to use, user friendly and problem-free. I would suggest you to pick any phone from the nokia series.

guys im looking to buy a sony ericsson p990i.the reviews on GSMArena.com - GSM reviews, opinions, votes, manuals, ringtones and more... werent really encouraging.people have complained about poor sound quality and slow processor.but they say that firmwares have rectified the problems to cetrain extent.
i really like the phone.if anybody has used it or is using it,please tell me if its a worth buy especially now that its available for 19k with bill.didnt really like the p1 and not worth it beacause the only thing they have changed is the camera.the processor is the same though they have doubled the onboard ram.
@devarshi:you mentioned that the p990i is better than the p1.
Im using the imate jam right now and looking for a upgrade.basically i want a phone which has a touchscreen,a keypad and a keyboard.the p990i fits all my needs.
should i buy it or is it a problematic phone.

Anyways, for my last SE T610, I paid 9,500/-. That was 3 years ago and still I have little problems with joystick and keypad (mind you my phone was abused very much, Total time of outgoing and incomming calls: 520 hours and many hours playing the mini golf in my mobile.)

As my budget has been progressively increased from 5k to 7k. These are the phones I am considering: (not in that order)

1. Nokia 3110 classic.
2. Samsung E250.
3. SE w200i.
4. SE z550i.
5. Moto SLVR L7.

After reading about the reviews of all the above, i have shortlisted the list to:
1. SE z550i.
2. Nokia 3110 classic.

Need to know feed back from the users with these phones and will finalise. I am more inclined towards z550i, but i keep my options open for the nokia 3110 as well.

i have a 6month old SE k790i cybershot.the jostick has started acting up and requires repeated taps in a certain direction to make the cursor move.
its still under warranty.
is the joystick covered under warranty.will the sony ericsson centre replace the joystick or repair it if its covered under warranty..

Yes the joystick is covered under warranty. In case of K750i mostly the joysticks were repaired...

Quick update, thanks for all your inputs guys, settled on the 6300 because of the weight, thickness & excellent display (16m colors as against the usual 256k) amongst other things.

Now guys, need your help again......suggest a phone in the 6.5 to 8.5k range that has a good camera, bluetooth, USB, reasonable internal memory & card slot and good music player. Obviously lightweight & good looks would be an added advantage (for a teenager)
