Hi everyone,

Mom just got me the 60gb version from Amreeka!
Its gorgeous to look at. Darn heavy too!!!

Have 2 games right now - Ridge Racer 7 (downright s***s) and Motor storm (mindblowing graphics).

Have been staring at the console for the last 2-3 hours . Its downright beeeeeeeeyotiful.

Only grudge is - I don't yet have a 42'' lcd/plasma to really get the feel of it!!

Sponsors are most welcome

Wont be able to sleep for sure.. waaaaaaaaaaaah i want an lcd

p.s.: haven't yet tried it, but will PS2 games appear sharper/better on this console?
Congrats man. I recently bought a 60GB version as well. I've kept it in the cupboard, waiting for an original copy of GT4 and GT5 (maybe next year).

Doomsday was saying that you get original copies in "PLANET M" for 750 bucks or so. Thats a real bargain i feel. hope it works on PS3.

I don't think the 80GB version is available in India yet. I got mine just a week ago from US ( 80GB version) and its downright beautiful. Got the Motostorm game as well bundled in all for a price of $499 (< 20K).

Now, inst that a great deal?

Ok, now since i am a first-time to gaming console. Can somebody let me know how to save data on the HDD? I mean pictures from my digital camera, videos etc that i can view on my 40" Samsung LCD

I think GT4 for PS2 will run as well on the PS3. Are you waiting for a GT4 version specifically for PS3?

And as for GT5, well, Sony has taken wayyyy too long to launch it.

Heavenly Sword (if youve played God of WAR), GT5, wait for splinter cell's new title from UBISOFT . And if you have HDTV its worth spending on it, otherwise just get an XBox 360..plus the mod chips arent out yet and games are expensive. and 20K can get you a console here with a mod chip and games for 100 bucks a throw..(360)

Dude..modchips are out for XBox 360 ?..am getting one here in States pretty soon..might just get it to India on my next trip there,to get it fitted with a mod chip..then even if I tell my sister to courier me the games from there,it'll be cheaper than me spending like $40-50 on each game here !!!!
Oh,and guys..I hope you are buying 1080p LCD/Plasma HDTVs for using with XBox 360 or PS3...and use ONLY HDMI cable..not Component..would give the best quality..

The 360 can be modded to play pirated discs but

1. Youll lose your warranty and withe high failure rate of the 360 you might end up saving pennies and not pounds. Remember the 360 has a 1 year warranty on all components and 3 years for the RROD (whihc is the most common problem).

2. If you go online to play Microsoft can ban your console if it finds out you are on a banned console. This means that you wont be able to play online
anymore though you will still be able to play offline.

Well,I bought a PS3 (Same 80GB with Motorstorm bundle just yesterday)..cost me same price what you paid..but what surprised me is the price you got your extra PS3 Controller ...it's for $49 everywhere..where did you buy it for $29 from ?..I believe it is the SixAxis controller?..right?..
By the way - if you have a 5.1 or 7.1 home theater system, make sure you hook up the Optical Audio out to the AV receiver..and the HDMI should be perfect for the TV video output !

Well, i got it during the thanksgiving and on amazon the additional controller ( it is sixaxis) was for that price. I have a 5.1 Onkyo home theatre and currently my PS3 is connected to my AV receiver via a co-axial, i need to buy an optical cable and replace the co-axial. Any idea how much an optical cable costs here in India and which brands are supposed to be good? However, my ps3 is connected to my 40" LCD via a HDMI cable that i bought from amazon.
