Anyone here use Sling in Delhi / Mumbai broadcasting from the US? If so - how is the vid performance? Stutters or lags noticeable? Thanks.

I was planning on using one but am not sure if the bandwidth and quality would be sufficent. Also the download limit and charges on my internet connection would be unreal with the sling in use.

Well Sahil - I'll be your guinea pig then! I plan on picking up the Pro tomorrow. Also from what I have been told, my home in India has unlimited broadband but its capped at 256Kbps. A 2MBPS line is available but its expensive at Rs.3300 a month. Right now in the US I pay $30 for a 10MBPs connection!

I am going to be spending a lot of time in India during the next year and need to get my fall TV fix - Family Guy / Entourage / Golf HD / Grays / The Office etc.

Also does streaming video use up bandwidth as much as downloading the episode from limewire?

Why do you guys not use Torrent for downloading these serials? You get good quality stuff.

Adding to what ishan said... You get good qaulity and faster downloads plus it doesnt put unreasonable load on the torrent users sharing a file.

Damn BSNL!! Why oh why do they not provide services in my area? Anyways, Vcash I think that 2mbps in not available in the unlimited plan, you in all probability have the 256kbps connection, could be wrong though.

P.S. Belcome to India!

Thankooo Sir. I'll be in Delhi in Sep - Will call you then.

We got BSNL in Dec 2005 when they had 2 plans - unlimited and allotted minutes / download speed. We chose the unlimited at Rs. 600. BSNL then introduced a bunch of other plans and for some reason we got grandfathered into a 2MBPS connection (Thats what our connection type also says on our bsnl web log in!) but we dont have any download limitations.
