You can google for it - installs on your computer and automatically puts the ringtone into your i-tunes ringtone folder - sync your phone and you are ready to use the ringtone!

We all suspected it, but now it is confirmed: someone very, very close to the 3G iPhone launch has told that Apple will announce their new model at the WWDC Keynote on June 9th. The second-generation iPhone will be available worldwide right after the launch, and not at year's end, as previously thought. The new model will also herald new sales policies in some countries.

if you are at 1.1.4 the itunes can help you out in getting the ringtones in your iphone!!

All you have to do is to get the ring tone as mp3 (search switch on google it's a freeware)
convert it into aiff file using switch then change the extension file to m4a and then open itunes and add the tone in ring tone library of itunes and sync the iphone with it!!

N you will get the tones in your iphone under sounds>ring tones>custom

But this way you can get just 5 tones at a time !

But i must say it's safe to get the things worked by company style

its not that 2 will be launched and will be broken immediately.. it will be another few days by the time even Zibri gives a jailbreak. as he mentioned process remains teh same but file system changes for which he needs to rework on a few thing. so 2.0 launch + 15 days to 1 months is what we will have to wait for.

If u saty in news then you must know that 2.0 is unlock able you can use 2.0 now but no installer is there !!!

search for winpwn on google if you are at windows or PWNED on MAC!!!

yupp the phone is launching on 9th june but not here !!!

It will be launched in September both by airtel and vodafone under their contract !!

and i assume the price will be around 25k !!

So indians still have to wait for another 4-5 months !!

or get a iphone and unlock it and use it with any service provider like i am doing!!!!

Few points dear:

1.) your ringtone idea does not work. at least for me.
2.) Yes 2.0 is unlockable in its current state. but not will be the same in final release. there will be a an enhanced lock provided and if we see what zibri says then the file format has some changes and will require him a few more days to work it out.
3.) Iphone will come in Sep-oct from vodafone as well as airtel at 28K

Firmware 2.0 can even be carrier neutral. Many countries are having more than one carrier carrying the iPhone. So it neednt be locked to a carrier. Of course it can be locked to run only Apple approved apps

As I read my post i have written the same thing!!!

And you are talking about the zibri i would love to tell you one thing zibri just makes the GUI known as Ziphone that's it rest the mainly unlockable and jailbreaking things he uses the old softwares provided by different Crackers mainly by iphone dev team from russia !!!

And for the issue of the 2.0 unlock i don't think so it will be issue reason that if you remember that there was an upgrade of bootloader when 1.1.2 launched so it had to be downgrade first to unlock it !!

Now once it has been done , i would say it will be done now with ease!!!

Yupp you are right that in some countries that iphone is being working with more than one carrier ,but it needs a small software which can be put it in easily (But i hope the lot for at&t doesn't come to india )


apple approved applications will only be available through i tunes app store which is in 2.0 firmware !!

n believe me those applications and games will be comparing to PSP n just now there's a new thing invented to play iphone games like PSP

Are you talking about Installer.app? Or some official piece of software?

I think there are more than 10 countries that have got dual carriers. It would be easier for Apple to release a carrier neutral version than to stick with the so far ineffective carrier locking

For mac users, any MP3 imported into garage bands can be sent to iTunes as a ringer. Works like a charm. No hack, no crack.

On PC you can use iPhoneRingToneMaker. It makes a 30 sec ringtone form your mp3 and then uploads via itunes to the phone.

u seem to be taking it too personal. So lets see what we have here.

1.) Apple is going to release a new itunes for 2.0 and will require to rewrite ZiPhone to support the new mobiledevice framework. So don't expect a new ZiPhone version shortly after the official 2.0 release. The 'hacking' of 2.0 however has been done already.

2.) On your point that Zibri makes the GUI and Dev Team does the unlocking. See this: No 'dev-team' was directly involved with Ziphone. Both methods as well as commands are different. Please use both of them on your phone if u have one and compare (Ziphone gives you the code as well)

3.) On the GUI: The Z guy did not do GUI. "pendor" did GUI for iPhone.

I dont think we have a reason to get personal and do appreciate that you know so much about the iphone, probably even more.

idea is to appreciate a person's efforts (Zibri) who has done so much for the iPhone owners as well as sellers for free. I am sure you would also appreciate this, as Dev team also mentioned that the did not do anything in Ziphone..

As far as I understand ver 2.0 is not yet released, so it hasnt been hacked as yet. What has been hacked using Pwnage tools is a developer version of firmware 2.0.
There is no guarantee that the final version can be hacked or unlocked using Pwnage tools. All we can do is hope for the best Looking forward to June 9th
