Yes its holding well, no contact book lags yet, which is the first thing one notice under regular usage. I had a wierd battery drain issue, but i restored the phone once and thats resolved also.

No issues so far, jus the Caller ID stuff (the 09 and +919 stuff)

I thought I had it fixed! "my wife called and the number showed instead of the name and I go 'Hi this joe how can I help?' and she goes "oh so your iphone is busted again????"

Well during the pawnage I added only 'Open SSH' nothing else, maybe that helps too!!

There is a crack for the Caller Id available in Cydia.
Try downloading that. Helps a lot.

Folks - picked up two non 3G iPhones from US. Got a sweet deal on them - so couldn't resist. Want to jailbreak one for my wife now. Is there a site with detailed instructions?

Also since i like my Blackberry better (i am an email junkie), am selling one of them. What price should i expect (2.5G, 8GB, brand new, unopened case)?

Hey Skywalker. There is nothing better than: iClarified - Tutorials - iPhone

but make sure:
1.) U read the correct instructions
2.) Check iphone 2G manual only
3.) Check and verify the firmware..

guys....what would be the settings for honda civic 1.8 for Dynolicious. i know the wieght of the car bu what about the drivetrain loss or other setings, what do i put in there and where to mount it in the car. one more question, is it really accurate.

guys is there any chance that an sms can be forwarded?? I'm frustrated with the text-ing interface that the iphone uses..

I'm desperately trying to avoid typing 120 words everytime the same msg need to go to someone else, also since the text application stores all sms's under one name, trying to copy, delete, forward, resend bla bla.. an older msg is just impossible I'm going crack here, pls help before I go fully mad

Oh BTW i'm on a 2G version 2.2

Have you jailbroken the phone yet ?? ... if yes then you could install bitesms from cydia (Free) or get iRealSMS which is paid

yellowsn0w is amazing.
Am using my iphone with airtel (purchased from vodafone) for the past 3 days.
Though it did not work in the middle , but an update was there on cydia immediately.

Where is this Yellowsn0w available? I can now take that SIM-slot film off my wife's phone and she will find it easier to switch phones between IND and DXB.

Firstly you'll have to update the firmware to 2.2 and then jailbreak it, here's a guide ... iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 3G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

Then you'll have to add yellowsn0w.com as a source in cydia
