Check this out. The other method involves hardware changes. This method is supposedly completely software.

I didnt check the article above but I know a Russian girl did unlock the iphone sometime ago. But the unlock hasnt been very successful yet.

Did you read 400.00 as 40k? Anyways the item was sold at $540

Hmmm.... So, when is the 6233 going to be dumped?

I can see a lot of phones going to be sold in Dubai because there was a lot of Arabs waiting to get hands on it so that they can watch some 'nice things' in that great screen.
A lot of it will be bought by our Mallu brethren which will help us get access to it in very cheap prices. Lord bless all the holy hackers!

Whoa he used the JTAG mode to unlock the phone. The JTAG is generally not accessible in normal functional mode of the chip. The only way is to get access to the JTAG mode using the TAP(Test access port of the chip). For that you need to know the registers in the chip which need to be written into.

Infineon will have loads of problems if they find the JTAG mode is vulnerable.
