Default Biometric Timing Systems?

I am looking at installing a finger-print attendance / timing system in my office, but don't know where to start.

Any suggestions on reputable brands (with good service) in India? Any other tips or things to watch out for?

Thanks!

HID systems is one of your best bets. They are a big name in the corporate circle. They even have tag on modules if you are already using their card swipe instruments.

You can go in for fingerprint scan or even iris scan and they can be standalone or even add-on module for your existing HID system.

We have a fingerprint system in our office. It works like a dream, but we are a bit uncomfortable about giving our fingerprints like this.
apart from that, no real technical issues, the system is working for quite a few months now and handles 200+ employees. Even sends a mail if somebody forgets to sign in.

GTO,

I have involvement in this industry, so I can help.

Lets answer these questions:

- How many employees / users
- How many locations / portals
- Do you want extensive reports or basic ones? As in complete wage calculation vs attendance vs time worked in office
- Is security your main priority or time attendance?

Lets begin with these and your requirements will be clearer. Remember, you need to buy a solution, not equipment.

err..I forgot which is the company I used to deal with in my previous organization. We had a finger scanning biometric attendance system. Cheap and reliable one.

GTO, I have asked my friend to check it for you and will let you know the name of the company. HID is good, but its very expensive (per swipe card at 200-350 Rs). If you need it only for attendance, go in for the biometric system. But if you need to restric access, only way out is HID Cards, which are sold in India by TATA Johnson Controls / Honeywell etc.

EDIT: She mailed me the company name for Biometric attendance: www.jaypeetex.com
