Default How many power adapters/chargers do you manage ?

Ok, let's see how many of you manage your gadgets ? Almost all the gadgets we love to have come with a charger/power adapter depending on its use. We use quite a lot of these around the house as well. So how many of these power thingies do you have & how do you store/manage them? Here is my list

1. Mobile charger - 2 Phones, 2 Chargers
2. Bluetooth headset charger
3. Eveready battery chargers for rechargeable batteries
4. Sony Instant charger for my camera batteries
5. RC Cars chargers - 2 cars, 2 chargers
6. Power adaptor for discman - 2 discmans, 2 chargers
7. 17" monitor power adaptor (to make the buil in speakers to work)
8. 19" monitor power adaptor (to make the buil in speakers to work)
9. Casio keyboard power adaptor
10. Canon scanner power adaptor
11. Massage belt power adaptor
12. MP3 player(chinese) charger.

and lots more USB cables for the phone/camera/MP3 player etc.

I am sure i have forgotten a few, will add them as i remember.
Let's have your list. And also how do you store/manage these things.
with me, it is a mess. all wires mangled up, am looking for good ideas from the more organised folks here in Team-BHP.

Nice thread

Here's my list:
1) 2 mobile chargers.
2) BT Headset charger.
3) Monitor's Adapter brick.
4) Extnl Soundcard's Adapter Brick.
5) Laptop's Adapter Brick.
6) Adapter bricks of 3 extnl HDDs.
7) Adapter brick for one set of computer speakers.
8) Charger/Adapter for Worldspace radio.

This is what's on my computer table and workdesk. Then of course, as you said additional connector cables.

However there's a method to the madness.
- The mobile chargers and the BT chargers get coiled-up and tied away and dropped in my gadget bag as soon as the charging is done.

-Every other adapter brick that has to remain permanently on the table/s (Monitor, speaker, soundcard, worldspace and one Extnl HDD) are coiled and tied to the exact lenghth required and passed along the back of the table, as one single tied-up unit. I have to keep fixing this stuff back into order at least once a month though. ALso, the "coiled and tied" areas get very dusty fast, so a supposedly bi-weekly (ok, mostly a monthly) dusting-cleaning is done.

- The adapter bricks for the movable stuff (2 HHDs, Laptop) are also tied to the minimum length required, so the mess is minimum. But there is a mess. Though it keeps mostly clean becaus ethe stuff lkeeps moving around.

As far as the other cables are concerned (datacables, iPod's cables etc etc), they all get tied and dropped in the gadget bag as soon as their use is over. So no mess.

Nobody touches my tables/gadgets/wires (I'm not married yet, my mom has given up on picking up after me, and my staff are scared enough to stay away from me as much as possible). I do all my cleaning (my room/s) myself, so all the wires stay the way I left them and everything works well.

Luckily, I dont travel for work at all. The numerous wires etc. stay in one place only.

Room : Mobile phone charger.
Workdesk : Everything else. Camera charger + USB, Ipod USB, Palm charger + USB, Cellphone USB, extra hard-disks etc. etc.

The simplest! Period.

1. 2 comps.
2. 3 printers with cartridges, cables.
3. 5 mobile phones in family. Gave up on managing chargers by sticking to same brand. The brand retaliated by changing charger pin for their latest versions!!!
4. 2 digicams - stopped using one; so need to bother with charger and USB cable for only one. This one requires adapters, since it has flat plugs - not the normal round ones you have in India.
5. Modem adapter.
6. Adapters for 2 sets of comp speakers.
7. One MP3 player cum usb stick. (Thank god this one plugs in directly into the comp).
8. 4 (useless) USB blue tooth dongles with SAME mac id - cannot create a home net because all have same mac id.

Uses the packaging casing of one of the printers and boxes as a store house for the unused cables.

Packaging casing for mother boards and cd drives double as containers for CDs.

1 old nokia mobile charger with adapter tip for nokia N series
ipod charged by usb
kodak camera charger
canon camera charger
1 palm tungsten T5 charger
2 laptops
2 ext hard drives
1 desktop

car chargers for nokias, ipod

currently considering a car inverter to power my laptop and cameras on the move, instead of getting car chargers for each seperate device.

is that a good idea?
costs around Rs1200
