Message to Daniel_K - Sound Blaster - Creative Labs

A brief description of what happend. Creative advertised certain capablities for its products , then disabled them for Vista , and continued to sell them with the old advertising.
THe features are currently available only for their newer cards , even when their older stuff is perfectly capable.

Then a modder released a set of modded drivers which actually made the products work as advertised- the official drivers were buggy and kept crashing. And now Creative has sent this guy a C & D letter.

I guess my audigy ZS platinum pro will be my last creative soundcard

This guy is a brainy and as per laws he is liable to compensate,lol.Anyways he should have been employed by creative.

even the creative software guys can make a driver which does this. they were prevented by marketing who crippled the older one, to make people to buy their newer model to use the same features in vista.

an analogous situation would be maruti discontinuing the 1.1 alto to make people buy the wagon R( and IF it blamed that on some New emission laws ) . But maruti cant sue anyone who wants to fit a 1.1 engine in an alto right ?

unfortunately this is what creative is doing :(

I am not surprised. After all, Creative is a company from a country that has a tin pot dictatorshop for a government. Even humans look like sheep to them.
