apple ipod nano vs sony network walkman

hello

could anybody suggest which would be a better deal among ipod nano and sony n/w walkman.For the same price range(7.5k) of nano, sony offers mp3/video player along with FM.But i dnt think sony offeers direct mp3 transfer(its the same with ipod too!)

remember the sony walkman is a product, the apple ipod is an enviroment. NO gadget as has as many accessories as the ipod.

thanks navin,but u have told a braoder outlook.All that i need is a mp3 player thar i can carry with me...sound quality,easy use of software is what im looking for...with this perspective which anobg the two would be a better deal?

Out of the 2 you have listed - the iPod it is.

Simple UI and very easy to use with the computer too for transferring songs. I used the Sony for a while - never felt comfortable. With the iPod it was more like - I know this for years. SQ is nice too for the iPod. But if are a discerning audio lover - you have to upgrade the earphones.

no doubt iPOD is the best buy I have not heard any mp3 player that competes with the iPod.
