Link exchange Program (for SEO) – Solution
Mods : I am not too sure whether its write place / Section to pots this post, pls do the needful if necessary
As you know inbound links / link exchange program helps a lot in SEO, I have a site which has a logo on the top in header file which calls my homepage, I was panning to give absolute link to that logo e.g www.sitename.com/index.php, will google consider these links under link exchange logic? will this help in SEO ?

nicejits you mean to say that currently your site logo points to http://www.lalalalalalalallalaal.com/ and you want to edit it and pont it to index.php file. If that is the case it won't make any difference in SEO.
Unless you have links from different C class IPs pointing towards the index.php page.

Instead of trying to increase PR number, try getting good content in your site. If the site is active Google will come. It will also give good PR. For some reason, Google loves Wordpress, so use that with some themes that give importance to SEO, like Cutline.
