Default India Inc continues Shopping Spree - now AirTel wants MTN

Continuing the story of Indian companies going abroad for a round of shopping, Bharti (AirTel) have announced that they are in talks for MTN of South Africa for a possible takeover.

MTN is Africa's success story, having grown from a single operation in South Africa to a multinational operation spread across 21 countries in Africa and the Middle East, from Afghanistan to South Africa and from Cote d'Ivoire to Sudan.

It truly is the century of India. We've emerged, despite all odds - most of which are homegrown, to stake our claim as one of the greatest countries on earth.

hudd hai guys.

Buying companies with debt doesnt mean we're kings. Keeping it profitable is the key. Else we'll have to sell our houses to finance the ambition!
