Default Is Australia a good place to buy gadgets???

Hi Friends,

I wanted to ask whether australia was a good place to buy gadgets and stuff?? and also which are the most Value For Money shops to go in for, as for example Best Buy, Target, Wall Mart, etc in the US.

I am interested in buying graphic card, procci, and some other stuff..
and i was also interested in stuff relating to ICE. Some good amps or components may be. Plz give in your suggestions.

thanx

Too expensive, you should buy locally.

Only thing I can think of that would be cheap is a pair of LIGHTFORCE fog lamps. Yummy!

Check out JB Hi-Fi clearance sales or buy on E-bay for the cheaper deals.

I agree with s0uljah that things are expensive there. One of my friend is based there and i wanted to get something from there 2yrs back.
But when i did some online research i found these to be much expensive than US prices and almost comparable to Indian prices.

I have several friends and cousins there - and they buy their stuff when they come here! From what i've heard from them, it works out a tad more expensive there.

The aussie dollar has become strong compared to the US dollar and as a result with the exchange rate conversion, it is nearly equal to the US dollar. Compared to the US it is atleast 30-50% more. I would recommend only buying aussie wine and borroca (a local antitode if you drink too much of it!)
