I Bought it from a Nokia dealer near my home in Padmanabahanagar, He says now the price has further come down. It is an official piece with 1 year warranty.

The problem with Nokia Product is in 1st week the phone costs 25k,second week its 22k 3rd week you start getting the grey for 17k and then after a month you see its come down to half the price of the product,No doubt their product is fantastic but they should maintain the mobile market,a luxury phone is luxury for just 1 or 2months and then everyone has it,after 4months you get it for 5000 in second hand

I got it at 19,900 from The Mobile Store, Bangalore.
I did not go around much for bargain as it was reimbursed.
Reliability was more important for me.
Nokia shop's offer was 20K.

Saw the Phone today - I am getting it. Played with it in the Priority Store and this is a no-nonsense all business phone. It looks smart and understated and the UI is blazingly quick. I am sure it can be dressed up with a theme or two. Now to decide where to get this from:
1) Nokia Priority Store Price: Rs.20,600
2) The Mobile Shop: Rs.20,400 but some assured gift scheme with it i.e. upto Rs.10K back if I am lucky or an ipod Nano or a Kodak Digicam or a Holiday Package.
3) Random Grey Market Mobile store offering B&W: Rs.19,500

Decisions, decisions....

Thanks MK - Will Bargain a little harder for sure.

Also, I want to preview what 3rd party applications are available so does anyone have links to symbian websites that have applications / games (Freeware) etc like the Appstore or Windows Market Place made for Symbian series 60, esp. the E71?

To start off with,
1) I would like a good weather app that goes on the home screen.
2) A HTC Diamond TouchFlo 3D imitation theme for the home screen (Seen plenty of iphone ripoffs)
3) Texas Hold'em Poker
4) A Gallery tool such as those found in the N series

Thanks,
vcash

Hi Vcash, you get worlmate preinstalled, so that will take care of the weather, it can be set to show the weather at any time during the day, or multiple times during the day. I am trying to get the texas hold em up also, but not got anything else. Gallery pretty ok in the phone itself.

Multiplayer Holdem like that offered in the App store would be very good.

afaik, the E71 retail pack comes with a 2GB card. So this is not some special offer from mobilenxt. bit cheeky of them to present it this way.

2GB comes standard with the device. So I am still getting a better deal in the brick and motar store. I am just going to go pick it up from one of these places.

I just hope that their is a good media / App library for this somewhere - Can't find much online.

Which store are you picking up the E71 from? Even I am looking for one and haven't yet started the search.
