I'am getting i-MATE JAMA Smartphone for Rs.7000/-. Is it worth to buy this now. It has got the following features:

MS windows Mobile 6.0 for Pocket PC
GSM/GPRS Dual band 900/1800 Mhz.
128MB ROM; 64 MB RAM, Micro SD Card Slot Memory.
Touch Screen LCD with backlight.
Talk time 4 hrs up to 150 hrs standby
2.0 MP diital camera.
Bluetooth v1.2
Push Email.

Mods: I searched all the threads regarding to i-MATE and all the threads are a couple of years old. Hence, I have created new thread..

I read the reviews after seeing Airtel introducing it in India. I believe you should stay away from it given the fact iMate products are no longer received with much fanfare. Besides that, the build quality of their products is also shady (based on forum opinions) and they falter a lot. Not a good buy in my opinion.

AFAIK, I-mate products do not have good after sales support in India. Little things like getting new battery to replace old one is hard. I have Cingular 8125 which is nothing bu I-mate K-Jam, and I am not getting the replacement battery.

Even though both have been manufactured by HTC, they won't support the same. Better to go in for Samsung (Omnia) or HTC models launched in India or LG.
