| BHPian | Finally received my unit yesterday evening . MMI loaded, Garmin loaded, installed Vishek's BlackRedEdition menu. Everything works - except for bluetooth audio being routed to FM. Not a biggie though!Buying a 16GB card today evening and will then load up some test videos to figure out the best encoding parameters for this device. Next in line is Miopocket ![]()

| BHPian | Nope. This is the DX unit I ordered long back from Hongkong (the one that most people on this thread have ordered and received).

| BHPian | Caution for anyone looking to install Miopocket 3.0 on the DX device - you would not get menus for the bluetooth and FM tramsmitter function in this interface! ![]() There is a lot of eye candy and a load of applications. I played around with it for a few hours and then decided to revert back to Vishek's menu - simply because it is simpler to use and gives me enough apps for standard use.

| Regarding the DX PNDs, the 4.8 inch pnd for USD 95 says it has 128MB flash memory. DealExtreme: $95.00 4.8" LCD 372MHz CPU Windows CE .NET 5.0 Core GPS Navigator with Bluetooth + 2GB Maps SD The comparision charts also show it as having 128 memory. The question I have is: is flash memory same as program memory? Since the more expensive 5.0 model shows only 64mb program memory does it make sense to buy the 4.8 one |

| Team-BHP Support ![]() | No, program memory is RAM. Most of these 372MHz Atlast ones have 64MB of RAM Infact most units(even Harmon Kaddon, Sony etc.,) have 64MB of RAM tops Internal flash is internal memory which can be used for storage. For example native navigation programs are usually on flash, and others on SD card

One more question, how would you compare the Mio Digiwalker that you have to the unbranded ones from DX Atleast from the surface specs and other reports. Any input would be helpful. | |

| There is a whole slew of WINDOWS CE 6.0 PNDs which seem more advanced than the dealextreme ones (also from Hongkong but with shipping to US) They have updated chipsets and seem more advanced. 4.8?NEW GPS NAVI+SIRF IV+FM transmitter+WINCE6.0+4G MAP - eBay (item 180421740427 end time Oct-28-09 20:08:51 PDT) Any idea of the suitability of these to load MapMyIndia Maps. Theoretically the ones for HTC should work? |
