I am looking for a good well specified camera phone. 3.2 or 5mp.

How much does the Sony ericsson K850i cost now? Or is there some other good camera phone under 18K?

How is the Xperia ( Sony ) / X1 ? Anyone here tried it ?

I need a new phone that has everything. First time I am buying such an expensive phone. I thought I should go out and get best one.

Any other suggestions ?

Also I need E-Mail & Internet on the move. I am totally out of touch of these things. I have Wi-Fi now in all my offices. I suppose a Wi-Fi phone will work in all these places.

Please advise. Thanks !!

Which is that Chinese mobile phone, with built in analog TV receiver?
I noticed one in the hands of the canteen boy at the IT centre of Axis Bank.

X1 is a good phone but grossly overpriced and bulky to carry. I suggest you buy Samsung Omnia . Better/Great phone @~35k. You will be able to access internet/mail from Wifi when you are in Wifi space and thru GPRS when you hit the road. GPRS plans are available from all telecoms and work fast.

X1 is available at 42K(+/-500). IMO its worth that kind of money. It has many value add featurs like document editing and easy GUT and style.

how does that make it worth 42k - even the htc diamond has an awesome gui, office mobile for editing and great style at 26k. If memory of 4gb is enough, then it is the diamond, else the omnia with its great camera and oodles of memory (32gb max) at 35k is worth it. Or maybe the htc touch pro

I feel sony got the xperia pricing all wrong - they don't have anything more than omnia and diamond - correct me if needed plz

I doubt the canteen boy could afford the meizu, expected to retail at 22k

I agree. Most SOny Ericssons phone especially the smartphones are horribly overpriced. Why not go for the original, the HTC Touch Pro priced considerably lower compared to the SE?
This is SE's first windows OS device and I know for a fact that their customer service is pathetic when it comes to releasing firmwares. I am one of their sufferer when I bought the P990i and they stopped providing firmware updates just like that. The features listed in P990i's white paper were not implemented even in the last update they provided.
I wont buy a SE phone ever in my life.

How about N97. I have read the specs and except for 32gb memory i cant see any significant change from N95 8gig which i use.

Xperia - I checked with a friend in Delhi who seems to have one.

He is blown away by the phone. He says it has everything one can imagine in a phone.

I liked the Blackberry Bold but it is too steep at 33000 Rs. I thought X1 should be a better buy at 39000. That is the price in Delhi with B/W.

I also enquired about the HTC Touch PRO but it is again around 33000 Rs. So for 6k I feel get something that is absolutely latest & exclusive.

What say Guys ?

Another thing - X1 has GPS / A-GPS. Any use of this to me ?

Buy X1 Sir. The phone is damn good only a bit expensive as on now. If you count the style and exclusivity component then I think X1 covers up for its price. Pleasure comes from indulgence and not from VFM things. You know what I mean...cheers:
