Looks like there is one - Moshi iVisor Anti Glare Protector

But be aware that if you do not stick it properly, you might end up having bubbles on your screen. Is there one that I could just mount and remove as and when I need it? I would be interested as well!

Well, I somehow managed to drop my 2013 rMBP 15" and cracked the screen. Actually, it isn't physically cracked but the display had that huge line on the display with the corner blacked out by a little.

Doesn't really change anything for your day to day activities because it fully is functional but every time I look at it, feel heartbroken :(

Has anyone gone through a replacement of a Retina display over here?

Have a peculiar issue. My external hard drive was infected with Virus when using it in my relatives place. I did remove all the virus from it by using all virus softwares. Meaning, it removed all my movies/folders too. Luckily, the deleted movies are showing up when connected to my Samsung LCD. It even plays the movie. When I connect to my Mac, it doesnt display the folders. But when listing the drive in terminal, it shows all folders, but i am not able to get in to them.

What could be the reason? How do I retrieve the files/folder now?

- Check permissions of the folders (Admin/hidden ?)
- If you can access them via shell, try a temporary copy to the MAC via the shell, format the drive and write the content back. Hope it works that way?

Yes, prior posting here I was using incorrect commands to copy/list the folders. After some googling, now copying the entire volume to my MAC, formatting my external hard disk and copying them back. Its painful/time consuming, but I am getting my data back.

Got a early 2015 rMBP with Force Touchpad last week. Can someone suggest a snug fitting laptop sleeve for the 13 inch model, which will be readily available in India?

Are you looking for something like this:

http://www.amazon.in/Case-Logic-LAPS.../dp/B004NY9UW8

Could you please let us know how much the MBP costed you? I would also interpret your rMPB as a refurbished MPB? Is that correct?

Thanks. Something like this, but maybe a better quality than Case Logic. Nowadays case logic quality has been bad, from my personal experience.

I purchased a brand new from Amazon for around 91K. Mine is a early 2015 model with force touchpad, so i would rule this out to be refurbished one.

Hello all, finally got all the parts (the ssd power connector) to add and SSD to my mid 2011 iMac ! followed up the guide from ifixit. Installed the ssd to the unused data 3Gbps port on the back side of the logic board. Took about 2 hours with help from my cousin. I also made a fusion drive - 256GB sad + 500 GB hdd. This way I have the best of both worlds. Initial testing gave me speeds of 500mbps read and upto 350mbps write.

The slow part was restoring the previous backup since while creating the fusion drive complete formatting was needed. Really happy with the upgrade. Boot times have been now reduced to single digit seconds (chime to login screen).

I would have preferred to keep ssd and hdd as separate, but since os x manages to keep frequently used files and all apps on ssd, slow loading is no longer an issue. The ifixit guide me look a bit intimidating at the beginning, but with right tools is manageable.

Which is a good 24 inch monitor for Mac Mini? The specs says it has a Native Mini DisplayPort output, but I don't see it in the photo. Is it same as Thunderbolt?

Keeping the budget within ₹15K.

Welcome to the Mac-O-Mania club! The same wow factor happened with me when I first bought my iPhone 4S. I then bought the Mac Book Pro and then the iPad! I can never imagine myself moving back to Windows!

Yes, it's the Thunderbolt port! Read more about this confusion - here

Has anyone swapped their existing glossy screens on a pre-retina MacBook Pro for the high resolution anti glare option ?

Also, has anyone had the rubber shoes on their MacBooks come off ?
