| I just picked up a Belkin Share router with "Better Coverage" that's what's written on the box. Is it any better than my previous belkin. Yes the range is definately better. and so is the speed too. this being an N router. But only by a little bit. Croma has some good offers going on Belkin Routers, that's where i picked mine up from too. For my Parents place which is multi storied. We have bought one Wifi+ADSL router from Airtel. Which is located on the upper floor. and i gave them my old Belking G router which is located on the middle floor. Both routers are connected via ethernet cable. The Airtel one connects to the Internet and the Belkin one just relays the signal to the lower floors. So now no matter where you are at my Parents place ~ You always have a wifi signal withing range. |

Computer components and peripherals sold in SP road are original and come with bill and warranty. I have purchased UPS, hard drives, pen drives and many other items from SP road, with bill and warranty, and never faced any issues with the quality. The only reason why prices are lower in SP road is that products are sold at wholesale rate and not at the retail rate. The retail stores purchase the stuff from this very place and then sell it to us at 40% higher prices. ![]() Rohan

| The wifi modem + router from BSNL was always a pain. First one lasted for about an year, second one which was also brand new lasted just couple of days and third one (used one) lasted for couple of months. Some issue or the other, latest being it hangs intermittent and only restart helps. Complained to BSNL and they responded that they dont have stock and stopped providing wifi hardware due to complaints. Customer can buy whatever they prefer and use it. So i went to Croma and only wifi routers were available, none with adsl modem + router. Letsbuy.com to the rescue! Just bought a Belkin Surf Wireless Modem Router Part # F7D2401zb Belkin : Surf Wireless Modem Router for Rs 3444 + free shipping Vs Rs 4999 Mrp. Cheaper one was there but fine print read partial N support, so decided to go for this one. Also i had no plans of roaming in SP road. Claims of 350 mt range and dual axis antenna for good coverage. Will update once i receive the consignment. |

| Ok received the package on saturday evening. Am impressed with the delivery time of letsbuy.com! It was well packaged also, cardboard box, bubble wrap and then the actual belkin pack. Plonked in the CD to my mac and rigged up modem for set up. It took a while but the final step connection was taking too much time. So decide to abort the auto setup and do a manual configuration of modem settings and in a few secs my wifi modem router was up and running. Updated firmware pop up came, so updated the same. Stable set up, decent range (slightly better than my old bsnl modem) and device runs very cool also. Loads of options to play around including dimming the LED to save energy / no glaring lights at night. Have been running it for last 2 days continuously and working well. Software comes with a modem control app which will replicate the modem led status on your launch bar. But unfortunately the app does not connect once machine goes to sleep so decided to remove it. Overall very happy with the device and letsbuy.com. Recommended. There is a cheaper version which can save you couple of hundred bucks but partial N (upto 150Mbps) support. |

| I just realised a new feature on the Belkin share wifi router. I already had a wireless printer, and initially thought the USB plug in the back of the router was only for printers. Today decided to plug in my external seagate HDD. and see what happens. The findings were pretty cool. Now i can access the HD from anywhere in my house. over the Wifi connection. Pretty neat indeed. |

Well worth the extra money spent. For the price of the share, you can get a Surf adsl + wifi router.

| Just picked the the Belkin playmax HD Router. It claims that the range is the best possible. It has 4 internal antenna's. 2 more than my Belkin Share Router. And also works on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. It has 2 USB ports to connect your various devices. This time around the Belkin setup manager managed to connect to the router successfully. What i did is first set up the router manually. After which i run the setup. Works better this was. And the setup was successful. Will post more on the range and other benefits soon. | Bought Linksys 120N Modem Router. I get good reception in the ground and first floors. I haven't checked the speed on the first floor. I have kept the router/modem on the ground floor. Not sure if you can find 120N in many places in Bangalore. I bought from Signal Networks in Vijaynangar. They deliver it to your house. Worth checking out. |

That is a big price differential.Edit: Just realized it is a modem +router. I don't know the price for that. Last edited by 999 : 26th August 2011 at 23:13.
