I am in a bad shape now!!

My number ported from Reliance CDMA to Reliance GSM and I am invisible to others

I am able to call any number including ISD at the same time, others get "Please check the number you have dialed" while calling me.

Call center team was not ready to book a complaint saying its happened to lot of customers and will take 3 days to resolve.

Can we complain to TRAI on this?

OOPS,

i also applied for cdma-gsm conversion and will get it within next two days.
If thats your experience of invisibility,
i will be more happy if that happens to me.

Looking forward to your further experience.

Yesterday I went to reliance webworld to get the status checked.
From 24th to Sunday, its been more than 10 days, and my number is not ported.
They guy put my details in an XLS file.
There were lot many complaints.
About 10 where the status was "not ported".
And then around 30 where status was "Incoming barred".
I guess reliance did a fiasco w.r.t portability.

TRAI said that porting should be done within 7 days. Now what happens if its not done. any fine to operator?
If not TRAI could have said number should be ported within 7 minutes or 7 years, it won't make a difference!

Is it true that a number on CUG cannot be ported as is? I was told it needs to be converted and wait for 3 months!!!!

^^ Thats not true. You just need to be on the network for 90 days, plan does not matter.

My incoming has been barred
Coolclouds, whats your status. Are you invisible too still?

I wonder why does TRAI have no complaints section to give complaints against errant operators.

Guys, mine is an Airtel prepaid connection @ Re 0.01 per second, so my calls will not cross Re 0.60 per minute. For the past few days the message after terminating calls is something like "last call cost Re 0.54, last call duration 44 seconds". I am effectively charged > 1 paisa per second, but when I contacted customer care they say they are charging correctly. Anyone else noticed this?

I am still invisible for the 4th day.

I have placed two complaints customer care but today morning surprisingly both of them are closed saying that the issue resolved.

Today morning, I again contacted them and they promised to solve the issue within 24 hrs for the third time.

In the meantime, I tried to contact Rcom Nodal officer over phone which is always engaged and no reply to my mail.

I am visible now.

I managed to speak to the nodal officer (Ms. Lakshmi) and told them that if my issue is not resolved today, I will have no other option than approaching TRAI.

I got a call from them within 20 mins and now everything works fine.

I am waiting for the time when MNP is allowed across circles. Then for all of us who retain a home number (in the home state) and daily number will be at peace.

This IMO can only be done when the pesky and unnecessary STD and roaming charges are done away with and there will be only one rate for any call one makes.

So 17 lakhs according to TRAI. That's a lot of subscribers. There are lesser no of people in a lot of countries.

Roaming charges should also be done away with in a years' time.
