My cousin just shifted to prepaid and activated BB Prepaid service @ RS399.

Works like charm with full browsing and even connects to the internet via BB desktop manager.

Default Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Guys,

Rats decided to have breakfast/lunch with 6 keys from my blackberry 8820.

When I called the blackberry service center in Bangalore, they said they cannot service any blackberry not purchased in India.

Please help me out to get the keypad changed. I am in Bangalore.

Thanks in advance.

Please let us know which shop did you try. I might find the keypad for the blackberry there.

thanks for the information, but they do not service any phone purchased outside India. My blackberry was bougt outside India.

Looks like I have to try S.P.Road, but let me know if there is any better option.

*ALL* I have upgraded to 8520/5.0.0.900 seems to be ok right now.
@harry10 I also have some apps that have not got reinstalled as they are incompatible. I think some serious changes have happened under the hood of this OS still figuring it out.

@sumannandy see pm.

@harry10 see app store new one is out

@fantasy the latest ones are over 15k. The older ones you might get at sub 15k but again they're old and until 3g is out its all the same.

@abibh a big welcome to the BB family from all here for your bro!

Thank you very much. I got the keypad replaced from the shop. The shop is small, but they really have good resources I guess.

I was wondering who is the best operator for blackberry services in India for speed etc. I got free blackberry service from BSNL and it works great. But the call rates are kind of on the higher side, so I was planning to switch to a different operator.

@sumannandy Do what I do. I have a vodafone postpaid for calls and another prepaid for BB and sms services. But then with bsnl you have the option of 3G and very wide coverage!
