Has anyone successfully used the Snapchat app in a BlackBerry 10 device?
I downloaded it from multiple sources, successfully signed in but post that I am unable to do anything as this dialogue comes up repeatedly.

Twist in the tale and I eventually ended up with the Classic. My first BB that is made in China, the earlier ones being from Mexico and Hungary. It is a pretty heavy phone and looks very well put together with some very nice to touch materials having been used all over. To cut a long story short the phone is now being used by my Father, as he found it deceptively similar to his existing but aged BBTorch (9800) minus the slider and with a better much improved keypad with big widely spaced keys. I meanwhile am now once again on the lookout for a replacement for my hung Torch (9860).

So I just decided to upgrade my 9900 to the Q10. Got it for $200 on Amazon.com which I think is a good deal. The Classic was double, decided to stick to this. This will be my 5th Blackberry.

So is the 9900 coming up for sale? I'm looking for a used one.

Finally my other Passport arrived couple of days ago.

From the little that I used, it seems mightier than the original one

Will try to write some details about it after a few weeks of usage. But, at the moment iam just reeling with awe !!

Finally! Congratulations!!

And about the battery life: told you so!!

Have fun with the device. It's a brilliant business phone. And the camera is surprisingly good.

Cheers

Even I was hooked onto buying the passport however my organisation has stopped support for blackberry mail defeating the whole primary purpose of choosing the BB! Anybody else in the same boat? I feel iOS and Android is the only way forward.

Even if your organization has stopped support, since Passport is running BB10, Exchange mail will work on ActiveSync. So you need not worry and use the passport for your company email. I have a Q5 and my org also does not support BB mail. But since ActiveSync is enabled on the company servers, I can still access my company mails.

Not if the organization is serious about security. Most MDM configurations will not allow email on a device that is not managed.

This was one of the things that allowed Blackbery to succeed (I.e. if a device is lost, IT can destruct data right away).

IT Admins also enforce MDM restrictions from the server side these days. My phone is managed by an MDM Client, but I experimented enabling my email through the inbuilt ActiveSync on my Android during a reformatting instance just to see what happens, and I was prompted to accept restrictions similar to what the MDM client enforces (including encryption), directly in ActiveSync. I was NOT prompted to install the MDM client itself.

Of course, forgot to include the caveat that it will work if the company decides to enable activesync to work with BB devices.

Unfortunately even active sync is not supported by my company. Only citrix mail app is allowed which works only with Android and iOS hence the dilemma. Any work around?
